TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I knew what you were referring to...but that particular speaker was reading from the FL Constitution in response to others who had sited it as their concern....he wanted to show them that LIFE was guaranteed by that Constitution to even disabled persons....because it specificly says 'regardless of physical condition'.

I'm not arguing with your point just clarifying why he didn't mention the Creator!

I know what you mean... I had such a rush when the bill passed, but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. BUT, prayer has gotten Terri this far... and I do believe she has quite a will to live!

I am feeling the same confusion and fear. I am crying, but also numb.

I was really trying not to become cynical. Especially when I heard they were coming back in session tonight. I just knew after it passed that Jeb would order a feeding tube replaced immediately. When I heard that the senate wouldn't even hear it until tomorrow, I knew right then this was nothing but a CYA manuver on part of politicans. Had any real care been for Terri, this bill would have been out there last week when that tube was first pulled. Those sleazebags (with a few exceptions) are just doing a CYA because the uproar made them soil their undies. If they REALLY wanted to save her - the senate would be hearing this bill NOW.

God and Terri's will to live and her parents/siblings love are the 3 things I know are true in all of this.

I will be praying hard for her before I sleep tonight, that's for sure. Goodnight all.

To re-connect Terri's tube immediately! Government bends rules all the time, so let them bend it her way. Enough of this torture of an innocent, helpless young woman.

I know...that is why we are all bouncing emotionally. Because the politicians have never been truly clean with any of this.
