Not only that she's not vegetative, she's not in a PERSISTENT vegetative state.
Anybody who can't see that doesn't deserve to hold any government office. I fail to understand why Jeb Bush doesn't just say, "SHE ISN'T IN A PERSISTENT VEGETATIVE STATE!!!!! REINSERT THE FEEDING TUBE!"
Sheesh. And these "great" minds want us to follow them.

Yep--took care of patients very similar to Terri for years. Had quite a few (after aggressive rehab) to come back (walking) and say "hello." Most of them remembered little about their time in my unit. Their family members told them about the care they received from us.
I shudder to think that these people could have been starved to death today.

**Or in Terri Schiavo's case, Dr. Green says, "This woman is not on a respirator, this woman has function, cutting her off is wrong, without question, it is the wrong thing to do."**
A bump for this doctor!

What appear to be responsive facial expressions and vocalizations are reflexive behavior and not communication.

I call it abortion; more of the same aborting of life and liberty by justices' inventive takings on societal engineering from extra-Constitutional space.

Yes, thank God there are still a few good and decent doctors out there.
So many of them seem to have forgotten the Hippocratic Oath.
Or 'scuse me, I guess that old thing's obsolete now. Maybe they don't even administer it anymore upon graduation from medical school. We live in an Enlightened Age when the Hippocratic Oath is just...so un-hip.< /sarcasm>

What would he know, he's only a neurologist. These decisions have to be made by Judges, the deities in the black robes.

Green is a neurologist. Studying the brain is what he does everyday. Are there any other neurologists speaking out about Terry's case??

I am wondering since the legal advise given to Jeb has stated that he not only has authority but an obligation to step 'if' he could be charged with derelection of duty or something if he doesn't do something??????
