WOW! NICE room! And I agree, there's not enough books. It's almost an insult to the room having that many knick-knacks out.

If you get the chance, watch Jamie's Kitchen on FoodTV. It's revealing! (It's a reality-style show. Jamie Oliver has agreed to attempt to train some "disadvantaged" students with the goal they'll become chefs in his new restaurant. Absenteeism problems. The kids obviously don't know how to respond to authority. Etc. ... It's on now. I'm EDT, so not sure if it's repeated per your time zone or not.)

Yep. Cable. (They're going to repeat it in a marathon session on Sunday. What are the chances I'll remember to tape it?) ;)

I recorded Alton and watched Jamie. I don't envy him for taking on those backwards kids, but if anyone can make something out of them, I think he can. He sure shoots from the hip!
He told the clinton critters to eat rocks when they recently demanded seating for 12 in his restaurant... he told them to make a reservation like everyone else... and they're booked until the end of December. HAHAHAHA.

BTW, WHO thought up the Funkle in the first place??? I love it! The late 1John posted the rules on the earlier fundraisers, but I'm not sure just where the idea originated... Rotti? Leni?

My copy of "Rules for Funkeling" were posted by 1John at post #17 on this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/520247/posts (Read the whole page for history's sake. We were having a Freepathon when the 9/11 attack occurred.)
I'm pretty sure 1John was the originator of the Fair Funkle concept, but it precedes 9/11/01.
I'll be gone all day today with an out-of-town appointment. When I have time, I'll see what I can find and get back to you.
To: RottiBiz
Thanks, Rotti. Have a great Thursday.

Nope, it tweren't me that thought of funkleing
A "great idea" I brand it
Perhaps by the time for apple-dunkleing
I will understand it.

I have a newfound respect for Jamie Oliver!!!
In other news: It's sad but true. The FReepathon is over. Time for gramma to put away her fundraising outfit until next quarter.

Nahhh, I know it coudn't be you. :-)
Gramma wouldn;t be caught at a Halloween ball looking like that (I don't think so , anyway)
Looks more like the Subway Dude, Jared, before he went on a diet... or Newman from Seinfeld. ;-)

But you've gotta admit: I love what s/he's done with her/his hair!!!
