'68 vette convertible, 327, 350 horse. 411 posi. Bored and stroked to 383.
It would twist the frame, launching from the toll booth. You could see the hood buckle, as the front wheels came up a bit.

I graduated in '78........
The '68 chrysler belonged to the guy I went to the prom with. Of course he needed a car that large - he wore a 54 waist in a pair of Levi's..............I wore 26.
And before the gutter brains start working (not in you, Mo) I will not further discuss it except to say that he took up fully 3/4 of my prom picture.

The '63 was a bit boxier.
He raced it.
The summer of '77 I learned how to change a tire on that baby in 14 seconds flat!!!
The summer before that a friend of mine was dating a guy who had a mint condition lemon yellow '55 chevy - that was a sweet car.

I think the last one he wrecked - or was allowed to own for that matter - was a 72 fastback. Red. Almost all of them were red.
He fell alseep at the whell after pulling some weird and long shifts and went over a concrete bridge railing at at LEAST 80 MPH (best guestimates). That was sbout 1987. He was trapped, upside down, in a river, and none of the passing traffic could see him. A truck driver saw the tail lights in the river and stopped.
They had to cut hubby out of that car. He hasn't wrecked in over a decade. Thank heaven.
