Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked on his program on Wednesday night why Dr. Anthony Fauci believes those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine or have recovered from having the virus must continue to adhere to restrictions.
On Tuesday, Tucker Carlson ran a segment questioning why Dr. Fauci and others oppose loosening COVID restrictions, in light of the millions of vaccinations currently occurring.
The segment came after the White House coronavirus task force leader called Carlson’s questioning vaccine efficacy “typical, crazy conspiracy theory.”

“And by the way, this, again, is not a trick question, we are not playing word games here, what is the answer?” Carlson pressed.
Carlson queried, “If the coronavirus vaccine prevents you from catching the coronavirus, why are you wearing a mask? Why can’t you eat in a restaurant?”
He added, “And if it doesn’t prevent you from catching the coronavirus, why are we taking it in the first place?”
“Both can’t be true,” Carlson finished.
If the 1st two shots don’t get ya, the boosters will.
Carlson’s point is a simple one: either the vaccines work, and everyone who has been vaccinated no longer needs to wear a mask OR the vaccines do not work, and everyone—vaccinated or not—must continue wearing masks. If the latter, why are we even vaccinating?
The real reason: your betters in the government think you are all knuckle-dragging morons and the moment you unvaccinated rabble start to see unmasked, presumably vaccinated people returning to their normal lives, you will cast away your masks and the virus will return like wildfire and make it look like Biden and the Democrats failed, doing worse on corona deaths than Trump. They need to keep you under control and save you from your irresponsible selves. This is the very essence of liberalism/progressivism.
Probably because they have done a crap job of explaining things to people. They are more concerned with selling the vaccine both literally and figuratively to the population than they are in explaining that even with the vaccine you can still catch and spread covid. There may be other motives as well, political, power, control, money who knows.

My guess is because the vaccines likely don't confer lasting T-cell immunity for some or another reason. The CEO of Pfizer today said people will likely need a 3rd shot six months after their 2nd shot, and an annual shot thereafter. And this comes on the heels of what now seems to be an 'indefinite pause' on the only non-mRNA vaccine available, plus the AstraZeneca vaccine pause in the EU - leaving mRNA vaccines as the only option, which may or may not work for long. You could suggest that they have known about issues with the mRNA vaccines the whole time.
The vaccines do seem to help reduce incidence of severe infections and symptoms but for how long remains an open question. Maybe 200 days after the 2nd shot, maybe less, maybe more. Nobody seems to know, and nobody really wants to try to explain why. It's a little suspicious that mRNA vaccines went from 15 years of disaster to a massive success in just a few months time. Since they seem to prevent severe cases from developing (but not actually prevent infection, just keep the viral load very low) you might wonder if the strategy isn't just one of acceptance - the 'herd immunity strategy' that they ridiculed Trump about (which he did not say) - e.g. expecting that virtually everyone is going to catch covid, but when they do they won't get very sick from it and thereafter have their own natural immunity. But that just makes me wonder why they didn't spend the time and money investigating alternative treatments for those infected, instead of betting it all on mRNA vaccines.

Baloney! months ago they were spouting about asymptomatic people - so you and no one can say the “vaccines” are helping reduce the severity because who knows exactly how severe any one case would have been without the jab, may have been asymptomatic or minimal symptoms anyway.
Can’t have it both ways. The vaccines do almost nothing is the truth. The only thing they do well is make the recipients feel better about themselves for having gotten it and think they did soem thing good, when in reality they injected junk into their body and it will adversely effect them sooner or later.
Of course this dweeb, Fauci does not go on Fox to directly rebut Tucker Carlson. He does it by going to CNN where they pitch batting practice to anybody carrying the water for the tyrannical lockdowns.
This administration does not want COVID restrictions to end. This means the are ready to discontinue a vaccine (JNJ), demoralize the population by vague threats of mutated strains and delayed infection surges. Fauci needs to be gone. And after he’s out, there’s no reason for Joe. The mask is his visible call for obedience to authority... His authority.

Actually Dr. Fauci you are the one that is causing people to question it unnecessarily - as though you don't really want to achieve herd immunity and bring this to an end. That was Tucker's point.

I listened to Bannon’s War Room’s episode from the other day when he had a renowned doctor on and the guy basically said Fauci should have been fired a long time ago and is lying through his teeth. He plainly said that J&J and Pfizer and/or Merc admitted in their test results to FDA and to the EU equivalent that there was NO (ZERO) difference in the test groups from those who got the vaccine and those who didn’t. Only J&J after two weeks was tiny difference then after 30 days NO difference - i.e. both groups could get COVID19. Vaccines were USELESS to prevent. All they do is reduce symptoms but, just like the other coronavirus - the Cold, all the stuff in the store does is reduce symptoms and maybe help you get better faster.
Several months ago, our former pastor’s father (86 years old) got one shot of Pfizer, ended up in the hospital for several days, and it messed him up mentally. He is just now beginning to recognize who is daughter is, even though he has lived with her for many years. Was mentally sharp before taking the vaccine.
