This New Poll Should Terrify the GOP Establishment

According to a new poll, nearly half of Republicans say they will leave the Republican Party to join a third-party created and led by former President Donald Trump. That doesn't bode well for the Republican establishment.

The new poll by Suffolk University-USA Today found a whopping 46 percent of Republicans are willing to leave the GOP in order to a join new party created by Donald Trump. Just 27 percent of Republicans said they would stick with the GOP, and the rest are undecided.

"We feel like Republicans don't fight enough for us, and we all see Donald Trump fighting for us as hard as he can, every single day," said Brandon Keidl, a 27-year-old Republican and small-business owner from Milwaukee. "But then you have establishment Republicans who just agree with establishment Democrats and everything, and they don't ever push back."

No wonder establishment Republicans jumped at the opportunity to disqualify the former president from running for office again. Nearly half of GOP voters are willing to abandon ship to join a new Trump party.

And Republican voters aren't looking the other way when it comes to GOP lawmakers who supported the failed second impeachment against Trump. Eight in 10 Republicans said they are less likely to vote for a Republican politician who supported impeachment. Ten House GOP members aligned themselves with Democrats to impeach Trump, and seven GOP senators did the same in the Senate. Many of the defecting Republicans are now facing censures and primary challenges back at home.

The poll also found that a large majority of Republicans aren't overlooking voting irregularities in November's election either. Some 73 percent of Republicans said Biden wasn't legitimately elected president, and most Republicans don't want to see their elected representatives cooperating with a president they consider illegitimate.

A third party sure sounds like a losing strategy, but so does the Republican establishment. The polls seem to show that a large majority of Republicans simply want someone like Trump to fight for them every day. People are tired of Republicans who seem to only have a spine when it comes to denouncing their fellow Republicans.

We knew draining The Swamp was never going to be easy. And as commendable a Job Donald did at getting the ball rolling, he was never going to be able to take on that monumental task all by himself.

But he showed you CAN push back! And he lifted the veil around the whole mess of actors and showed us, and the world truely who and what they were.

Ball’s in out court now. We can’t let the time and opportunity pass.

“Trump can’t define the GOP moving forward.”

“No, I wouldn’t. It’s time, and he’s got a good family, I’ve worked with Ivanka and others, and they love America. But I would not support him for re-election in 2024.” -

Gov. ASA Hutchinson, Arkansas on CNN today.

No, the GOP is not “terrified.” Just stupid. Eff the GOP.

Conventional wisdom is that a third party can not win. Trump running against both parties can win.

73% is huge.

Most of the GOP have become little more than Democrat-lite. They didn’t support President Trump, why the {censored} should I support them? Because if we don’t stick with a rotting GOP more ‘rats will get elected? So? It is pretty hard to tell the difference between a ‘rat and a spineless GOP appeasement placeholder. Maybe it is time to start with a new party and fight for what is right, not just what is convenient.

Did a whole 1/4 of us leave them already? Way to go, that’s a great start!

He’s a Republican. RINOs eat Republicans. Cuomo will probably waltz away Scott free, because all he ever did was kill some old people, and they’re still voting anyway, so where’s the harm. He’s a Democrat, after all.

Burn the GOP down.

It took 20 years to collapse the Whig party, it may take 6-10 years present day, but it has to be done. GOPe is flush with money from multi-corps, MIC, etc, so bleeding them financially is hopeless. Every 2 years the GOPe shears conservatives for our votes, then puts us to pasture for the next shearing season. The GOP don’t need us, and we don’t need them, I’m tired of being sheared for my vote then told to go away.

Bite the bullet now, not later. As painful as it will be to endure, let the Dems have super majorities. He!!, by de facto they already have super majorities w our complaisant RINOs.

When Mitch and his band of RINOs in both Houses lose their ability to be a deal makers, they will retire. 6-10 years to collapse the GOP. PDJT will not be allowed to win the 2024 primary, a 3rd party PDJT vote will speed up the GOP collapse. GOPe are going to run Nikki Haley in 2024, another reason to vote 3rd party. Vote all State elections, that is our farm system where our future conservative stars will come from.

Again, burn down the GOP!!!

The Republican Party is the Trump Party. The Dems would love a third party. They would control the country for the next 100 years.

I know some will say that a new party will simply split the vote and give elections to Democrats, if the Republican/conservative vote is split between the GOP and a new party.

That could well happen until a new party became strong enough and established enough to replace the Republicans as a 2nd major party.

Is it worth it?

Any poll involving USA Today is a sham and this one is no different. It's premise is a leading question, "would you walk away from the Republican Party?"

It's part of the ongoing Kabuki Theater because the real question would be "regardless of whether you previously identified as Democrat or Republican, did the Uniparty walk away from you?"

Yep. It’s better to toss the RINOs out of office as republicans during the primaries than trying to start a 3rd party imo. If that happened the RINOs would just change party affiliation and join the Dems and instead of the elections being 50/50 and a jump ball, they would be 60 or 70% Dems to 30 or 40% for the new party.

That said if it did happen I would vote for Trump et al.
