UChicago United, a coalition of activist groups at the University of Chicago, is advising students to avoid calling the police for certain crimes and is taking shots at the school.
The story: The coalition recently released the 2020 edition of its “dis-orientation” booklet. The 63-page booklet covers various topics, including race, free speech, and global justice. According to its Facebook Page, UChicago Unite was “formed to make the University of Chicago campus more inclusive for students of marginalized backgrounds and identities.”
Don’t call the police: The booklet tells students that the university will teach them to call the University of Chicago Police Department for a crime but that they shouldn’t. Instead of going to the police when witnessing stealing, they should assess the situation, talk to the person who is having a “crisis” or is “disturbing others,” and reach out to social services hotlines.

Not a problem. Just have the UChicago United members give their credit card numbers to cover the costs of what their peers are stealing. If they’re not willing to give their credit card numbers, they’re just hypocrites.

A few points of interest.
There is no way to cut or paste content or save the whole page. It looks to me that they, (whoever “they” are) don’t want copies being passed around by folks in the non-target audience.
The document’s graphic style looks like something intended for a pre-school audience, the text looks like “Communism for Dummies”.
Somebody spent a great deal of time and effort to produce this.
It also appears that this “dis-orientation” manual has been produced yearly for at least the last five years or so.

The booklet calls the university “a racial-capitalist, imperialist, colonial, heterosexist institution that is guided by white supremacist curriculum and a need to accumulate capital — no matter the cost.”
Then the question is why are you even here??? Why aren’t you home in your mommy’s basement and living off of what your mommy and daddy provide for you????
