Do the Democrats need Hillary or Michelle to enter the race?
The East Oregonian ^ | October 17, 2019 | Carl Golden

It began with 25 candidates. It’s been reduced by half, yet concern persists among Democrats that the party should look beyond the still standing contenders and seek an individual capable of party unification and persuade him or her to enter the race.

It is an acknowledgement that each of the current candidates is burdened by baggage — ideological or personal — but seem determined to take the contest through a string of expensive, exhausting and bitter primaries.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, whose lead has shrunk to single digits or vanished altogether, has been hurt by periodic mental lapses and scrambled syntax. His and his son’s involvement in governmental and business affairs in Ukraine hangs darkly over his head.

Voters will hesitate to deliver the presidency to a 78-year-old heart attack survivor — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders — despite his fervent and committed base.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the leader, co-leader or strong second-place finisher in polling averages, has moved steadily leftward, embracing policies with which huge swaths of the nation disagree.

“Hillary is planning to do so, but is going to do it at the convention, so she doesn’t need to spend her money”.

I agree that she’ll jump in at the most opportune time. And she is going to p o many, many Dems when she does it. They’ll be mad as hell.

In an article about drafting either Hillary or Michelle, that's pretty funny. Someone at the Eastern Oregonian making a sly joke, maybe?

Oh come on now, by historical standards, a late entrant into the quest for the nomination is not so unusual.

That’s fairly bad quality video, but I’d forgotten how horrible this looks.

Those that don't learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat them.

Have you ever wondered why there are so many Democratic primary candidates? You shouldn't, as the Democratic party has created new rules that explain exactly why.

In the last Presidential election the Sanders supporters were horrified at how the Democratic party rigged the primaries and the convention. The Sanders supporters prime area of wrath was focused on Super Delegates who did not vote the way that open primary ballots went in specific states. They felt that the Super Delegates opposed the will of the people.

To settle things the Democratic party changed its Presidential candidate selection rules. Super delegates would only decide on who would be the parties Presidential candidate if there was not clear majority candidate coming into the convention or on the first ballot. Super Delegates are mostly elected official and long time party hacks.

Another little noticed rule was that the party would allow in all voting primaries the majority to rule, but......they would also include in the total all absentee ballots. The Democratic Party has been working hard at lining up workers to “mine and harvest” absentee ballots in the State Presidential primaries. This is part of their overall grass roots goal of harvesting absentee ballots in the Nov. 2020 Presidential election.

The game is now rigged to the Democratic Party elite to use Super Delegates to elect an insiders like Biden, Hillary or Obama’s better half. What they don't seem to understand is that the Progressives will destroy the party if that happens again. But it will happen again and the Democratic Party elite hope that their absentee ballot harvesting program will win the White House.

“Those that don’t learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat them.”

With history being so radically revised,I question the validity of the quoted passage.

There it is again. The Demagogic Party needs to commit harekari, trouble is, they have no honor either way.

Partisan Media Shills update.

A classic video, which only happened because a citizen with a cellphone was present. We never would have known about it otherwise. IMO, it was a seminal moment for some voters.

Thank you, unknown person.
