Mitt Romney called on President Donald Trump Friday to apologize for his comments about Charlottesville, Virginia, saying the Presidents remarks this week caused racists to rejoice.
The potential consequences are severe in the extreme, Romney wrote in a Facebook post. Accordingly, the president must take remedial action in the extreme. He should address the American people, acknowledge that he was wrong, apologize.
He said that Trumps remarks in which he blamed both sides for inciting violence, an equivocation between neo-Nazis and those protesting them had a hurtful impact on the nation.
Whether he intended to or not, what he communicated caused racists to rejoice, minorities to weep, and the vast heart of America to mourn, Romney wrote. His apologists strain to explain that he didnt mean what we heard. But what we heard is now the reality, and unless it is addressed by the president as such, with unprecedented candor and strength, there may commence an unraveling of our national fabric.
Romney also called this a defining moment for Trump.....

A recent title goes.....Americans Are Rapidly Descending Into Madness BY...and the article would tend to explain much of what we are seeing since POTUS 45 Stepped Up To Wall...Hell, He IS the wall!

I see great PR value in Trump attacking Romney on this.
I have to give it to Jim Robinson. He was very harsh on Romney back in 2012, which I remember clearly. At the time, I questioned the wisdom of that before/during an election
It seems he judged Romney, his politics, and his character quite correctly.
I support Trump.
That’s all you need to say.
That’s all anyone needs to say.
Romney can go f himself
Pure “virtue signaling” going on here. What an embarrassment Mitt Romney has become.
Trump should tweet that nobody cares what that choke artist thinks.
I didn't. When he ran for gov, he wasn't even a resident. He moved back, granted. But what did he do? He trashed the conservative core of the small Republican Party in MA for his own personal gain. And then there was "voluntary" Romneycare, which wasn't.
I thought his "campaign" against Obama demonstrated deep-seated racism. Romney ran real tough in the primaries, annihilating conservatives. Then in the election? He refused to campaign on the tough issues that would've defeated Obama, easily. Two choices. Either he was a designated loser or he has deep-seated racism for which he was over-compensating.
Never forget his "lower 47%" comments. He has such a disdain for all but the elite, he refused to even campaign for the votes of less fortunate US citizens or listen to their concerns.
this is what happens when I get wound up about "nice" Mitt Romney. <^..^>
When is Mitt wit going to apologize for praising Antifa?
It was very gratifying. More people should try that.
I love our POTUS. Romney is a Libtard
Please ignore post # 22... I mis-read the headline.
I first read as Mitt called Trump to apologize for the stupid thing MITT said...
Mitt Romney: the only reason you'll ever need to conclude that the GOP thinks the rest of us are meant to be ridden by our booted and spurred betters.

Wasn’t Michael Dukakis once the governor of Massachusetts? Let’s ask him what he thinks.
Once a loser - always a loser.

“Nowhere Man”
He’s a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Doesn’t have a point of view
Knows not where he’s going to
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen
You don’t know what you’re missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command
He’s as blind as he can be
Just sees what he wants to see
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Nowhere Man, don’t worry
Take your time, don’t hurry
Leave it all till somebody else lends you a hand
Doesn’t have a point of view
Knows not where he’s going to
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen
You don’t know what you’re missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command
He’s a real Nowhere Man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
“The Fool On The Hill”
Day after day, alone on the hill
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he’s just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
Well on the way, head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
He never listens to them
He knows that they’re the fools
They don’t like him
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning around
When are Bush, Mccain and Romney going to apologize for giving us Obama and causing all of this mess in the first place?
Romney is the scum of the earth. Just like McCain. Set up a microphone and he’s there with something stupid to say.
Well, this certainly tells us Mittens would have been a cowardly kitten and would have gone on an apology tour like Obama did an embarrassed the USA.
