Weird and Wild Stuff: Why Democrats should be worried
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | September 16, 2016 | Matthew Continetti, editor-in-chief

“This shouldn’t be close, but it’s close,” President Obama told the audience at a fundraiser this week in New York. “The presidential race, we should win. But Donald Trump got the nomination, so weird stuff happens.”

How weird? The president’s approval rating is at 51 percent, unemployment is at 4.9 percent, incomes rose in 2015, Democrats lead the generic ballot, and the Republican presidential nominee is historically unpopular. Yet Donald Trump is closing in on Hillary Clinton, narrowing her lead to two points in the Real Clear Politics average. The battleground states are tight as well.

The odds favor Clinton. But the fact that she is not running away with the election in the final weeks should worry Democrats. At the very least it should inspire them, and Republican opponents of Trump, to ask why she is underperforming. Here are some theories....

“The presidential race, we should win. But Donald Trump got the nomination, so weird stuff happens.”

They thought the GOPe was totally wired to nominate another total loser low-energy dud joke candidate.

Then something unexpected happened, and they nominated someone who knows how to fight back. And Shazaam, what the hell do we do next, Michelle?

“unemployment is at 4.9 percent, incomes rose in 2015”

They actually believe that people with college degrees Ike working 2 or 3 part time jobs flipping burgers and stocking shelves. They really believe that...they believe that construction and industrial workers like driving for uber. They really think this. The peasants are revolting.

They are mad that the GOP didn't nominate the designated loser. Hillary and company are talking as if they should run unopposed. Hillary says Trump doesn't even warrant consideration as a real candidate.

That is the only way Obama and Hillary know how to win: eliminate the competition. That is essentially how they both won their Senate seats. Obama's opponent's divorce records were unsealed and damaging information released. Hillary's opponent made a stupid physical move during the debate, Hillary cowered, and the rest is history.

Gee, first I was “deplorable”, and now I’m “revolting”. Oh, that darn English language... :-)

Good points, really.

And these people (media) wonder why a large majority no longer trusts them?

Their thought processes are about to be re-arranged and they recognize that they have been on shaky mental ground for many years ... and they realize it has all been because they voluntarily followed a flawed thought process.

A lot of intelligent people have been drawn to a guy that talks like them and wants to do the things they want to have done .... and it's unfamiliar territory for who they've always been led to believe was their enemy ... to discover he's their best friend !

So Labor Day is in the rear view mirror and now the campaign gets real serious or so the pundits say. The other thing that happens is that the pollsters now start polling likely voters not registered. Based upon the crowds that Hillary is drawing like in Kansas City for the National Baptist Convention, you know one of those black groups that she panders. Well the conventioneers were there and just had to wander into the convention hall to hear her. About 1000 got lost and attended, about the same as those who were in the choir. Trump goes to a rally and 15,000 attend and 15,000 stand outside. We thought that no one had less enthusiasm than Jeb Bush. However Hillary supporters have even less. There is no enthusiasm for Hillary.
The Tea Party started this ground swell. MSM says the Tea Party died. No, they are out here and are waiting to break it off in Hillary, the GOPe, the MSM, Obama and the Democratic Party. It will not be petty Nov. 8th.
Then Trump has grown as a statesman in the past 6 weeks. Notice that the Trump kids aren't on TV everyday however KellyAnne Conway is. She has Trump focused, he listens to her, he likes beings with winners, and she doesn't back down from anyone. She never makes a mistake. You can just see her handwriting today all over the Trump rolling the press. His supporters just loves it, average people loved it, the press thought they had Trump and would break him on national TV. Before they realized he had baited the trap and they were the prey. It was over. The press boys were killed. Interesting Trump took the birther issue and put it back to Hillary and told her don't bring this up in the debate next week.

The next problem Hillary has, voters smell death around her. The “deplorable” statement killed her. Everyone saw her as a Washington elitist who hates America and Americans. Then the seizure episode at the 9/11 ceremony and the body double and 90 minute and 30 pound loss recovery was the death knoll ringing.

Voters started to peel off. They hate a lying loser. They have heard her for 30 years. We do not want to hear her for 4 more years. People are being honest, announcing that they are voting for Trump and her hop, skip and a jump to the White House is finished. She will soon join Mike Dukais and the two worst candidates to run for office.

At 49, Kellyanne is in the one percent in more ways than one.

I agree .. especially on the unemployment numbers. Obama is skewing the numbers, just like the Clintons’ did. You do that by NOT COUNTING THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER LOOKING FOR WORK.

So, we have 92 million people out of work .. Hmmmm ..??

Obama’s number is also driven by GW Bush; his numbers were very low when he left office; Obama seems to be determined to beat that number no matter how much he has to play with the numbers.

The true unemployment number is not mentioned anymore.

I've noticed the past few days, KellyAnne looks a little tired. Hard to keep up with a train.
