Uh-Oh! Ted should have never made a spectacle of himself at the RNC, and maybe kept his promise to support the nominee because now, it seems, it has come back to bite him. The once extremely popular senator is no more than the lesser of the evils in his home state, in his senate race. At least thats what the results of the latest in state poll show.
CBS/DFW reports that Texans are smarting a bit over the recent Cruz behavior and theyre letting him know it.
Sen. Ted Cruz won the Republican presidential primary in Texas with nearly 44 percent of the vote. But most voters now do not think very highly of the U.S. lawmaker, according to the latest KTVT-CBS 11/Dixie Strategies Poll numbers which were released on Thursday.
52% of people now view the senator as Very Unfavorable across all demographics.

Luzer didn’t get this Texan’s vote back then and won’t get it in the future.
I would vote for him in second I like conservatives that have principles.
Principals like fulfilling a pledge?
“I echo your thoughts on Cruz, but is there any sign a legitimate primary opponent will emerge?”
The Texas GOP-E (the Bush family) will put up a strong opponent. They have lots of money and were furious that Cruz beat their anointed Senator-to-be in the last election.
I wish Cruz had endorsed Trump. It was a mistake not to. But it would be a very bad thing if a Bush guy replaced Cruz in the Senate.
This is BS. Cruz won the Texas primary overwhelmingly. Very few are going to hold it against him for not explicitly endorsing Trump — though it is important to remember that he said “don’t stay home,” and “vote for freedom up and down the ballot.” Not the endorsement Trump fans wanted, but certainly not a back stabbing.
Plus, and this is the key thing: Cruz stayed with his principles and didn’t “play politics.” Isn’t this what everyone wants their elected rep to do?
Good post. The difference between replacing Cruz and Ryan is that Ryan’s opponent is a conservative. Whoever the Bush family puts up against Cruz in the primary will be a Bush family globalist.
FUTC!
Isn’t honoring and fulfilling a signed pledge a principal too?
These terrible poll numbers in Texas for Cruz is an invitation for
challengers. Maybe even a quality challenger, as well.
The long knives are out for Cruz in Texas.
I thought Perry was considering challenging him
BS, read the postings to this thread, the Trump cult doesn't seem to have a focus to their attacks. Maybe he (Trump) will have a chance if he actually starts attacking the right target, you know the person on the ballot against him.
Cruz was crazy for even taking the stage at the convention, obviously walked into a trap he set for himself. Way too naïve to run in the general, against the slime that is the Hillary & Democrat machine. Maybe Trump will start listening to some of the folks around him and let them make some of the outlandish claims, not central to the campaign. Well listen to the non-yes men anyway that realize that the free ride from the press is over.
Abbott. Perry. Hell, I’ll vote for P. before I’ll vote Cruz, and I hate P. Cruz will not have my vote under any circumstance.
1L, this pic’s for you. [Those are Ready for Hillary shirts, in case the lettering is too small to read.]

I live in Texas. Cruz will NEVER get my vote. He must be taught a lesson about honoring your word.
Has this been discussed on FR?
Check out the post right above yours. UNbelievable. This guy is the worst traitor I’ve ever seen.
Nope. He did not honor his word, that is what I want. I live in Texas will NEVER again vote for Cruz.
Traitor. I will have everyone i know and can influence vote against him next Texas election.
Great casting for Woodley! I’d pay to see those movies!
In Texas when your wagons are circled by the Indians you pick up a gun. Cruz runs and hides and says he won’t compromise himself...I say I won’t compromise myself so will never vote for him.
