Uh-Oh! Ted should have never made a spectacle of himself at the RNC, and maybe kept his promise to support the nominee because now, it seems, it has come back to bite him. The once extremely popular senator is no more than the lesser of the evils in his home state, in his senate race. At least thats what the results of the latest in state poll show.
CBS/DFW reports that Texans are smarting a bit over the recent Cruz behavior and theyre letting him know it.
Sen. Ted Cruz won the Republican presidential primary in Texas with nearly 44 percent of the vote. But most voters now do not think very highly of the U.S. lawmaker, according to the latest KTVT-CBS 11/Dixie Strategies Poll numbers which were released on Thursday.
52% of people now view the senator as Very Unfavorable across all demographics.

But, but, ousTed was supposed to be able to beat Hillary by double digits! You know, because he’s a constitutional conservative that stands for values and principles...
He will never ever shake the LYING TED label and deservedly so.
It was simply amazing to watch someone who once had great potential have such a mighty public meltdown.
I echo your thoughts on Cruz, but is there any sign a legitimate primary opponent will emerge?
Hopefully that ship will sink! I’ll do everything I can as a Texas voter to bring it about. All these years I thought LBJ was an embarrassment (I still think that and always will) to our great state but Cruz is right up there with him.......
Yep, and he’s not coming back. Guaranteed.
Beck is the kiss of irrelevancy.
This is really sad. As a Trupster, I admired Ted for the hard fight he put up for the nomination. However, none of us wins every contest he or he gets into and there are those times when it pays to bite one’s tongue and go for the best consolation prize. By being both smart and gracious, Ted would have had good shots at both AG and SCOTUS. Now, he has no hope for either and is struggling to hang on to his Senate seat. Sad. Too much ego has done him in.
After claiming to be something else we discover he has a Fibber McGee closet of women just waiting to tumble out I doubt he has a future with conservatives. He may find his peccadilloes a resume enhancement if he switches parties. Of course switching only works if you are sort of moderate.
Sociopath,
Know Them Well.
When people change our assessment of them must change to reflect the new reality. Anything else is a form of insanity.
......well thought out post that I substantially agree with!
I for one though and going to wait and see who my choice is other than Cruz. Cruz does have a strong conservative record and would be good for conservatives on the Supreme Court.
All he proved at the RNC in his speech is that very smart people can do very dumb things. Conservative’s can still find a place for Cruz. Like Chief Justice.
Doubles down on failing strategy.
Dismisses a signed pledge.
Wants Texan voters to support his next six years of govt suckling.
His campaign will be interesting to watch.
Good reason to give the speech he gave or not, I wouldn't have? Time will tell if it's a screw up or not. He's almost 2 years out from his Texas primary. The fact that Trump & the GOP can't seem to start running against Hillary and continues to run against Cruz is baffling, unless your not trying to win against Hillary?
My dream is that we throw ALL the ‘nevertrumpers’ out of office... effing quislings...
You must be suffering from BVS, or Battered Voter Syndrome. Those folks keep getting cheated, lied to and teeth kicked in yet keep coming back for more. They just can't seem to get enough abuse.
