Those vying for the White House responded to the terrorist attack in Orlando with empathy, accusations, policy prescriptions and one call to not "politicize" the tragedy.
Omar Mateen, a New York-born 29-year-old security guard, killed 50 and wounded 50 more at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando early this morning. He called 911 during the rampage and swore allegiance to ISIS.
Hillary Clinton postponed a Wednesday event in Green Bay, Wis. -- her first scheduled with President Obama -- due to the attack on the LGBT nightclub in Florida, her campaign said.
“This was an act of terror. Law enforcement and intelligence agencies are hard at work, and we will learn more in the hours and days ahead. For now, we can say for certain that we need to redouble our efforts to defend our country from threats at home and abroad," Clinton said in a statement. "That means defeating international terror groups, working with allies and partners to go after them wherever they are, countering their attempts to recruit people here and everywhere, and hardening our defenses at home. It also means refusing to be intimidated and staying true to our values."(continued)

Laws against shooting people aren’t enough but laws against possessing weapons will do the trick.
Also, laws against blowing people up are not enough so we need to make laws against building bombs. I think we already have those laws so we may need laws against possessing the ingredients/components of bombs (like pressure cookers).
If we just pass the right laws, the terrorists won’t kill us. We only need to figure out what law they will obey and then we’ll be safe.
Islam is the weapon of war and has no place on our streets. Islam is not compatible with Christianity or with a democratic Republic form of governance. The balance or regulation of a federally controlled militia (Armed Force) is for the right of the people to be armed and not infringed in having those arms. That is why the states added the 2nd amendment in the bill of rights in order to accept and ratify our constitutional law. That is why it has been that way since our founding. That is why weapons of self regulation to prevent tyranny have always played their role. That is why we will never give them up even if idiots like Hillary were to gain power and pass legislation to outlaw them. We will never give up our arms and use them to reset any despotic tyrannical government that attempts to ever take them from us. This is the beauty and genius and legacy of our founding fathers and the second most important freedom guarantee in our bill of rights. Molon Labe.
