Over the Memorial Day Weekend, Bill Kristol doubled down on his betrayal of this country with a pair of tweets: Just a heads up over this holiday weekend: There will be an independent candidate an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance, Kristol tweeted.
He also said, Those accused of betraying GOP by opposing Trump can take heart from P. Henry 251 years ago today: If this be treason, make the most of it!
This fatuous invocation of an American patriot to justify the betrayal typifies the arrogant disregard for political realities shared by all those involved in a defection that could produce even greater disasters than the Obama eras 400,000 deaths by jihad and 20 million refugees across the Middle East....

It’s also a suicide mission.
Look at the history of John Anderson. Had been in congress 20 years. So popular that he ran fro president.
Then he ran 3rd party against Reagan in 1980. He had to retire from congress, because he couldn’t even get elected dog catcher after that.
Kasich?
Could be.
I doubt it, though.
I could see Bloomberg endorsed by Romney. What has Romney got to lose sitting the back row and throwing tantrums? Until these rats are faced with total destruction they will continue to stir the pot.
What if he got Rush Limbaugh to run?
The truth is, Bill Kristol is just (barely) one step above a blogger.
Really. He writes articles in a magazine and appears on TV talk shows.
Bloggers write articles for online media and appear on on-demand media (Youtube channels & podcasts).
I can name multiple bloggers that are having more impact than Kristol (Milo & Vox Day come to mind).
Kristol’s actions are the last gasp of a dying animal that doesn’t realize it’s too late to save itself.
Billy Kristal = military industrial complex
Oh, that’s rich.
coming from a guy who thought Obama was qualified for the Presidency because of the crease in his pants.
Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz pledged to support the candidate. Apparently their word is dog Sh*t..
The NeoCons came from the Democrat party 30-40 years ago and came to own the Republican party along with Evangelicals and Wall Street.
We have a clear split now as the Paleo Conservatives, Evangelicals and traditionally "blue collar" Union members are the new majority.
The NeoCons should go home to Hillary. Like, NOW.
I fear Kristol and Co. might pick someone who's not a politician in the first place. Perhaps a famous athlete or a famous movie star. The key word here is "famous". It would have to be someone who's name catches the eye of the voter in the voting booth.
Kristol can do some serious damage here.
Romley. Milt Romley.
Well who doesn’t have a GOP career or for that matter a political career now?
Jebbie Bush, Paul Ryan, John McCain, Mittens, Bob Dole, Haley Barber, Ron Paul to name a few. Run Jebbie run
Romley. Milt Romley.
Surely Cruz is not that stupid. Who ever it is will go down as the traitor of all time . Cruz will lose his Texas Senate seat. Must be that jack ass romney. He and Beck . What a loony farm.
Political party membership in America isn’t like in Britain, where for example members of the Labour Party are issued identity cards (sort of like those nifty lapel pins the Nazis gave out, on the same general principle and kindred philosophy). In America it’s sort of an “honor system”, meaning of course the dishonorable can claim to be anything they choose. In Bill Kristol’s case expulsion from the party should involve his a$$ being soundly kicked down Euclid Avenue when he shows up in Cleveland.
Don't make me laugh.
Kristol and his whole posse have been using the GOP as a flag of convenience, and using loyal and patriotic Americans as dupes, for much too long.
David was on, if you can belief this, Bernard McGuirk’s morning radio show here in the northeast. He was fabulous! He blasted Kristol and praised Trump and excoriated the left as communists. As he said, he should know because he was one for many years. A true American icon. The only downside to the interview was that he did not sound good. His breathing was heavy and labored. It was probably around 7am his way but still it was a concern.
I don’t think enough people will bite onthis for it to work. Every one know the stakes are high. All will know that voting 3rd party will be throwing their vote away. Trump will roll. He will get many of the Bernie voters. Kristol and his I’ll are boxed in. They can’t do anything about it.
Why would Bloomberg be interesting? He was my mayor - one time illegally - for years and he sucked.
