Might make some sense to pick a Dem. Maybe Sanders.

If Trump wants someone who will put America First, there won’t be a Democrat on the ticket.
I mean, Zell Miller isn’t going to run, is he?

Who (Republican) has a combo of military background, and has been in politics, and has not acted like a jerk?
Alan West, Duncan Hunter Jr, Martha McSally... Anyone else?

While I cannot think of any democrats that I’d be interested in, maybe Sheriff Clarke, who is a democrat.
But there is almost no elected republican than I am interested in.
The GOP is so utterly worthless and useless.
I’d be good with West, Cain, I could support Cruz and understand that pick, although I don’t think many people agree with me on that. I could see Clint Eastwood, oh bot that would be something.
But I am really tired of people trying to attach all the also rans to Trump. No one voted for them because they all suck.
Sean Hannity is one of those oh I hope everyone who ran is involved in a new administration, all of them were so great.
No, Sean, they were not.

I don’t like this, but if it were Jim Webb, it might be OK. Why he is a Dem is bizarre.

Why do we lend war to this media nonsense?
It’s deliberately disingenuous and everyone here should understand it implicitly

It's entirely possible that, once he gets to the Republican National Convention in July, the delegates won't accept his choice.
If Donald Trump picks a Democrat for his VP, why should the Republican Party give him the nomination?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
"Carson told The Wall Street Journal, "We would consider people who are Americans and who put America first." If that includes a Democratic name, the chances of Trump bringing together an increasingly divided GOP party seem almost impossible." What makes anyone think Trump is worried about "dividing" the GOP? Isn't his whole appeal to be an non-establishment outsider? Wouldn't it be perfectly in character for him to select a Democrat running mate-- one that purports to "put America first"?
I can't believe that any sane person considers Trump any kind of Conservative. Trump is mostly a liberal, but he's also a populist running under the Republican banner, who has made himself attractive to disillusioned Conservatives by tapping in to many big issues we care strongly about. Let's be honest here.
On the other hand, if he chose a Democrat as VP, wouldn't it explode as many heads among Democrats as it would among Republican voters? It would certainly make things even more interesting.
