With Clinton and the Donald poised to deal fatal blows to their rivals' campaigns, it's time to look forward
By the end of the day, barring a surprise, we'll have a reasonably strong sense as to who the nominees will be on both sides of the presidential election. If Super Tuesday plays out as the polls are suggesting, it should be reasonably clear that the dual delegate trajectories of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will lead them to becoming the presumptive nominees.
According to Nate Silver's almost eerily accurate projection models, Trump and Clinton will each win in Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Virginia. Clinton will also win Texas, while Trump will take Oklahoma. For what it's worth, Cruz will win Texas on the Republican side, and Sanders will win in Oklahoma and Vermont, the latter by a massive margin.
But the polling and the menu of primary results will only tell a small fraction of the story this week. The true consequences of Super Tuesday can't be measured in delegates, momentum or margins of victory. If it hasn't happened already, the upshot is this: Republican voters not in Trump's camp should be suffering from an intense and ongoing panic attack, while every Democrat and every independent who's already panicking over the potential for a Trump presidency should be asking out loud whether the Clinton campaign has a game plan for dealing with Trump....

Why panic? Hillary will win against Trump in a landslide according to the polls
Donald Trump has a real game plan (read Crippled America), and real optimism for the future provided we are behind him. The she-hag from Chicago is our own version of Winnie Mandela. Her message is class, sex, and race division, victimhood, and a disturbing black orwellian future where she avoids prison, and we look at posters of her all day, and hear patriot music from tinny loudspeakers while we shuck corn for the collective behind barbed wire and machine-gun towers. I’ll take the New York realestate tycoon.
The Dems are scared witless about Trump. Make no mistake about it.
He’s going to beat Hillary like a rented mule. He’s going to go after her corruption relentlessly. You think Trump has been tough on his primary opponents?
You ain’t seen nothing yet.
L
What you said! And you know he’s practicing statements that are going to leave her standing with her frozen over-bite and a thought balloon over her head, “Nobody can talk to me like that! They warned me he would, but ...” and then Trump will continue vivisecting her until she begins to stare at her lectern or David Puddy-like, into the faces of her shocked-into-silence audience cadre.
It’s going to be lovely.
Exactly.
No other candidate can be counted on to go after Hillary with the necessary ferocity. She needs to be beaten bloody with Benghazi, the emails, treason, the Foundation & on it goes.
What other Republican has the backbone to do it?
And as an extra added bonus, because it’s Trump, the media will cover it.
Hes going to beat Hillary like a rented mule. Hes going to go after her corruption relentlessly. You think Trump has been tough on his primary opponents?
Not with 48% of Republicans Refusing to vote for him.. He kain’t win!!!
Don’t forget. About this time in 2008, the pundits were sure the election would be between Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani.
Not exactly:
"Thus, following his Florida defeat, there was no reason to continue on. Giuliani flew cross-country to give his withdrawal announcement on January 30 [2008] at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, endorsing McCain at the same time"
There are these folks to consider.....
The movement is called Bernie or Bust, and it means just that: If Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont loses the Democratic presidential nomination, a group of his supporters will either write in his name in the general election or consider casting their ballot for a Republican.
The one thing they certainly wont do: Vote for Hillary Clinton.
BFOT will help him win.
What does it matter ?
If a lying corrupt criminal like Hillary can run for president the country is too far gone
RE: According to Nate Silver’s almost eerily accurate projection models,
Are these the same allegedly accurate projection models that recently predicted it was impossible for Trump to win the nomination because he lacked the endorsements of the establishment .... and that now predict that the endorsement by Cristie is the reason Trump is winning?
Military strategists are always prone to fighting the previous war and not the current war.
Establishment politicians seem to have the same proclivity. And . . .
Nate Silver seems to double down on that proclivity.
