Ted Cruz Just Unloaded on Donald Trump
Red State ^ | January 1, 2016 | Leon H. Wolf

Posted on 01/12/2016 1:07:36 PM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

It appears that the bromance between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump is probably over for good. I mean, it was one thing to see Donald Trump openly attacking Cruz for days on end. We've seen that before, and never before had Cruz taken the bait. It appears that this method of dealing with Trump has finally reached its end in the Cruz campaign.

(CRUZ): >>>I will say that it's more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard Law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter (Ed. note - Laurence Tribe). It starts to make you think, "Gosh, why are some of Hillary's strongest supporters backing Trump?" You know, the last couple of elections the Democrats have gotten the nominee they wanted to run against in the general election. It seems the Hillary folks are very eager to support Donald Trump and the attacks that are being tossed my direction.<<<

Welcome to the party, Ted Cruz. Better late than never to call Trump what he is.

I, for one, am glad that the prominent conservative personalities who have been pretending Trump is a conservative and talking about him positively to bolster their ratings, will finally have to choose between their wallet and their ideology (and credibility) in this battle between Trump and Cruz. It's been a long time coming.

That’s “unloading” on Trump?

Really! That was mild. It also required some logic leaps to get there. I imagine when and IF Cruz “unloads” on Trump, there will be no doubt or speculation required. Even a libtard will be able to get it.

I can’t seem to get Trump supporters to answer a question, maybe you’ll be so kind.

Do you see any flaws in Trump?

I despised McCain in 2008. Being a loudmouthed jerk, McCain almost made me skip voting for the first time in 30+ years.

Anita Trump is very similar in mouthy smugness. Of course both share a variation liberalism as their touchstone.

What is odd is all the FReepers that used to blast McCain as a RINO. Anita Trump is twice the RINO that McCain is.

CW hates Trump and usually does what I like to call a post and run. Very rarely does CW respond to one’s comments.

I was a Reagan democrat. Didn’t change parties until after Reagan’s second term. The closest to Trump back then was George Wallace and John Anderson. Didn’t think either came close to Reagan.

Today I support Cruz.

“I’ve put my faith in ‘conservatives’ before. Look where that has got us.”

It’s not conservatives that have been the problem, it’s RINO’s masquerading as conservatives.

Cruz’s record exhibits no such RINO tendencies. He has the most conservative record of anyone running (and most in the entire Republican party).

Never heard of that web site before. Had to go check it out. Looks like it is about a decade behind on web design. Don't really care about their angle cause it seems they are a nothing web site.

I believe we should stick with the definition the Founding Fathers gave us. You are attempting to change it based on what you feel like. Just like the left.

Conveniently overlooked in that 20% of Democrats say they will vote for Trump is the 16% of Republicans who say they’ll vote for Hillary before they’ll vote for Trump.

(CRUZ): >>>I will say that it's more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard Law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter (Ed. note - Laurence Tribe).

That's ironic, in light of the fact that I've seen Cruz supporters incessantly pointing to liberal sources that support his position. Including the deeply flawed opinions of two liberal former Solicitors General writing in the Harvard Law Review.

>> Cruz seems to forget there were a faction of voters called “Reagan Democrats”. <<

Yes, there WERE 35 years ago. Most of them are now dead or became Republicans years ago. Today's DemonRat party is so uniformly socialist that even 95% liberal Joe Lieberman isn't leftist enough for their tastes.

I disagree - IF the Clintoons think Trump is the easier candidate they are out of their minds! Trump brings a lot of indies, and moderate dems to the table.

Also Trump’s attacks on Clinton are the reason she’s dropping in the polls to Bernie. Once people found out that Bill raped Juanita the far-leftists freaked out.

Sorry to paint Cruz with that brush but anyone inside the beltway is toxic to me.

So with that logic, it by some chance Trump was elected, he would become toxic to you as soon as he was sworn into office...

Is he incorrect? No

Yes! There was an entire "Birther" and anti-birthright citizenship movement for years. Where do you think regular conservatives gained so much knowledge about the 14th amendment, natural born citizens, and everything else?

When Cruz calls this stuff "left wing" propaganda, he belittles a large chunk of conservatives who, apparently, have more knowledge about the Consitution on this subject than the so-called constitutional scholar.

Levin makes the same mistake when he rails against most of his own audience. We'll be seeing his ratings taking a hit soon, along with Cruz's poll numbers.

Conveniently overlooked in that 20% of Democrats say they will vote for Trump is the 16% of Republicans who say they’ll vote for Hillary before they’ll vote for Trump.

Conveniently overlooked is the fact that that 20 percent expressed 100 percent confidence that they would do so, while the 16 percent of Republicans are just butt hurt Ted Cruz supporters who will vote for Trump in the end anyway.

>> Cruz is no Donald Trump candidate. His conversion on immigration issues is literally about 2 months old <<

Unlike Donald Trump, whose conversion on the other 95% of issues is literally about 2 months old. But it doesn't matter if he promoted universal health care, assault weapon bans, abortion, gay rights, etc., for years, cuz Presidential candidate Donald now says otherwise!

There is an easy way for Trump to put his theory to the test. As a candidate, he has standing, so why doesn’t he file the lawsuit already?

Answer: He doesn’t want the issue resolved.
