Here's a horrific "what if" in the months after November 9, 2016. That's the day after the presidential election and the winner is declared. The nomination and confirmation of one, two, maybe even three more Antonin Scalias and Clarence Thomas's to the Supreme Court. The quick repeal of the Affordable Care Act, the shut-down of the Department of Education, the total scrap of the Dodd-Frank financial industry regulations, the defunding of Planned Parenthood, and outlawing of abortion, the gut of the EPA, a cheer of the notion that Global Warming is a fraud, the giveaway of millions of acres of public lands to oil, gas, and real estate interests, the categorical rejection that fracking poses safety and environmental hazards, the scrap of the Voting Rights Act, a total blind eye by the Justice Department to police misconduct, and a wink and nod license to ramp up anti-Muslim hysteria in the country. A perpetual confrontation with Iran, Russia, and U.S. boots on the ground in Syria and anywhere else in the world that the White House occupant deems a threat to alleged U.S. interests.
This is not a made up nightmarish Orwellian scenario for a future America. It's not an agenda slapped together to scare wavering Democrats about Hillary Clinton let along guilt trip progressives into holding their nose and backing Clinton, if Bernie Sanders fails to get the nomination. This is the agenda that GOP presidential contenders Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, to varying degrees Marco Rubio, and couched in flowery jargon, the Republican National Committee has spelled out as the agenda for a GOP White House in 2016 and beyond. http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/05/politics/gop-agenda-for-the-new-congress/index.html

Don’t count on a president Trump signing an Obamacare repeal. He supports single payer healthcare. In other words he agrees with Obama on the healthcare issue and thinks the only problem with Obamacare is that it doesn’t go far enough.
Get a damned grip and stop repeating that which isn't so.
BRAVO...as always, Phil!
Seems like huff-po lets anybody with an internet connection write for them. That excerpt was really difficult to read/follow.
He’s actually a “big deal” in the racialism/civil rights world.
That Hutchison guy is on the ball. That agenda hes laying out is just the ticket.
That BS wont stand up to scrutiny. He did support single payer about two decades ago. He has stated in multiple recent interviews that he supports allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines. Imagine that, competition for your health care dollar.
You should read his current position paper on health care before posting this worn out canard. Attack his hair or something.
Not two decades ago. Just look at his statements in the current campaign. In the first debate last summer he said single-payer health care in Canada "works," and that fully socialized medicine in Scotland "works incredibly well.":
In a 60 Minutes interview he said "I am going to take care of everybody." and "the government's gonna pay for it". Sounds an awful lot like single payer to me:

What paper? Do you have a link? I don't think Trump has released any sort of detailed health care plan. Why do so many Freepers have blinders to Trumps liberal statements and record?
You are inferring this. The countries where single payer “works” tend to have small, homogenous populations. Donald Trump is fully cognizant of this fact, which is why he has called repeatedly for open competition in the US. And you call _me blind.
Trump expresses feigned outrage over Obamacare because he knows it's what the GOP base wants to hear, but the details of everything he proposes is simply more government healthcare. Once the nomination is behind him, he'll be free to revert back to the liberal instincts he's demonstrated for decades. If you fall for it, you are more gullible than you realize. Hopefully you and other Trump supporters will see him for what he truly is before it's too late.
Someone who truly understand and believes in free markets wouldn't be talking up places were single payer supposedly "works". They would be promoting examples where the free market works better than government. Besides, single payer doesn't work very well even in small homogeneous populations. They still have long waiting lists for care, higher mortality rates for things like cancer, zero profit motive and therefore zero medical innovation of the type we have the the USA, and sky-high taxes to pay for it all.
Earl has a fever. There’s only one thing for it.
More Cowbell!
I wonder if Jeb’s campaign paid good ol’ Earl Ofari Hutchinson to write this walk into the fantasy land on the Unicorn Farm. I my dog detected the smell of unicorn poop and jumped off my lap and onto the bed.
Can you point to an article, speech, or interview where he said this? Thanks
