Television personality Montel Williams said Wednesday that it would be insanity to bet against Donald Trump winning the GOPâs presidential nomination in 2016.
If anybody doesnât think heâs going to get the nomination, youâre crazy, he said on MSNBCâs Morning Joe.
Williams said pundits keep predicting that Trump will flame out despite his soaring poll numbers, and they've so far been wrong.
So we can keep playing like in a couple months this is going to change, he added. Itâs not.
Heâs galvanized a group of people who ... donât have college degrees [and] they normally donât vote. What happens when they all turn up?

My Mother used to say, “Some people are so smart, they’re stupid”.
I didn’t understand what she meant when I was younger, but I certainly do know.
68% of Americans don’t have a college degree.
Does that mean it will be a landslide for Trump?
I used to think Montel had a chip on his shoulder. But when I saw him make extra-ordinary effort to get our Marine released from Mexican jail for making a wrong turn, my opinion of Montel has improved.
Montel, I’ll make a prediction, most of the people who got BAs in Feminism and all the other stupid degrees out there that no one can get a job on are probably supporting Hillary. I’ll bet the majority of people who have Bachelor of Science degrees are supporting either Trump or someone in the GOP field.
Unlike Montel, I’m not afraid to say it. The people who support Hillary and Bernie Sanders are stupid. Lastly, some of the most intelligent people I know never went to college.
I think you are on the right trail LOL.
That seems plausible. There is a reason why they call all those totally useless degrees [Liberal Arts].
My daughter graduated with a degree in Biology this year and found a job very quickly working for an outfit which does cancer research.
Williams said pundits keep predicting that Trump will flame out...
They keep hoping, you mean.
He is Ex Military and pretty bright, but his backhanded comment only tells me what he thinks of people like me, and I’m a Cruz and / or Trump guy.
He is also a Cancer survivor, and having the Disease myself I respect his resilience, but he will always be on the wrong side of the Political Spectrum unless I am unaware that he is a closet Conservative.
I have a couple of degrees, my wife one and my oldest daughter soon to have hers...we’re all going for Trump.
The pundits are confused as heck, because there has never been a candidate like Trump for a very long time.
Exactly. That’s what he meant, but people are taking it the wrong way. If Trump energises those that don’t vote, then both the Democrats and the GOPe have a nightmare scenario brewing.
Montel, most of us here, with college degrees, are sick and tired of listening to feel good liberal b.s. that works fine in fits of reverie but suffers greatly when it abuts reality. Most liberals walk about in a dreamlike reality of their own design that bears little resemblance to the actual world. They do seem to hang on to that mirage with all their might, though.
Gee, me too ... :-) :-) :-)
Montel “Do you know who I am? I’m a big star, and I can look you up, find where you live and blow you up” Williams?
It don’t take a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
I didn’t say it was stupid.
That’s what THEY are saying.
I have an MBA and I support Trump. My dad has a Master in Mathematics and support Trump and so as my sister. These people are clueless.
Me too.
They can call me stupid all day long if they want.
I’ll vote for him come hell or high water.
(I took a few college courses but didn’t get a degree.)
