Today is August 27th, and Trump has the highest chance of nomination compared to any any other candidate, according to this report.
He leads in every early primary state, IA, NH, SC. Have you seen anything like this before? I have not since I got interested in US politics watching JFK-Nixon debate from basement media room of my dorm at U of Iowa. I was a foreign student enrolled in graduate program in engineering.
Dang! I didn’t mean to press 2.
Trump’s road to the nomination is becoming a movement unlike anything I ever seen.
He says things people want to hear....but would he be a good President? Is he the right person for the country?
Don’t know how it will end, but last 2 months have been the most exciting living as a political junkie.
Trump would be better than most! Especially Bush. Why? Because he has been actually getting things done all his life, and his projects usually finish ahead of schedule.
You have to experience playing golf on one of his world class resorts, or stay in any worldwide Trump hotel to experience the genius behind the construction.
COMPETENCY!
That is my question too, he is saying all the right stuff, but will he act on it? He is a little to Narcissistic and likes to change wives a little to often to suit me.
The Narcissistic pres we have now makes me leery of those type people. What would happen if he called some female head if state a Bimbo like he calls some women?
I watched the JFK-Nixon debate in the living room of our home.. I was 5. I remember my Mom And Dad saying “why do you want to watch this?? it’s stupid and boring!”
I sat there wondering if I was perhaps adopted? lol
I quipped that Nixon looked hot (not hot hot, but sweating hot ..lol)
I was all in for Nixon, I said he seemed smarter than the good looking guy that talked funny.
Gawd that was a long time ago...I’m so old :-(
We lived in Rockford Ill, a great place then... a hellhole now.
Polling experts agree on one thing when it comes to Donald Trumps presidential run: Theyve never seen anything like it.
The billionaire businessmans dominance of the Republican presidential race is forcing experienced political hands to question whether everything they know about winning the White House is wrong.
The shocks have come in quick succession, with Trump first rocketing to the top of national polls, and then taking double-digit leads in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
In another act of political magic, Trump managed to flip his favorability rating from negative to positive in one poll during the span of a month a feat that Monmouth Universitys Patrick Murray called astounding.

I remember Nixon more than JFK. I still remember him sweating. But I was rooting for Nixon, without knowing why. Later I watched every news conference of president Kennedy. He had to be the most charming and charismatic president in my lifetime, setting aside ideology.
Nah you are not old. I am now mid-70’s and do not feel my age at all. Still Shoot in low 80’s. Secret to staying young is keeping as active as possible.
You are obviously very bright! (as are so many freepers)
I predict no Alzheimers in your future!
:-)
Live long, and prosper.
If Trump succeeds in keeping Bush away from the nomination, we may finally see a conservative GOP nominee. It’s a long way from here to there, but I like where Bush is in the polls right now and want to see him stay down there.
I don’t think anyone but Trump can beat the democrat nominee.
We won’t know unless he is elected. Your question is one that has been asked for a long time. I wonder if you think that about all the candidates, or does Trump get your motor running?
Some deserve it
Think that lady in Argentina
The Nixon Kennedy debate was the first tv show I ever watched, I was 6. i had no opinion of either but I do very clearly remember Nixon’s five oclock shadow and how that made him look rough.
“I quipped that Nixon looked hot (not hot hot, but sweating hot ..lol)”
You were quite perceptive. Nixon was recovering from a bout with the flu.
Ran across an old Bob Hope Show golf joke the other day. About like this: Bob Hope: “Arnie, I’m having a heck of a time knocking of those 7 or 8 strokes a round I know I can, any suggestions?” Arnold Palmer: “Just skip 1 of the Par 3’s Bob!”
