Donald Trump backed off his tough talk toward Fox News on Monday after he said network chairman Roger Ailes called him with assurances the network plans to cover him fairly.
Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that Trump will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good! Trump tweeted.
The call from Ailes comes after a whirlwind weekend that pitted Trump against one of Fox News biggest stars, Megyn Kelly.
On Friday, Trump said Kelly had it out for him in Thursday nights GOP debate, with blood coming out of her eyes or wherever. The comment was immediately panned by political and media pundits who believed that Trump was suggesting Kelly was menstruating....

Why watch FOX at all? Seriously, do you ever glean any new information from them?
Cruz's problem is summed up in your question.
He is undoubtedly the best technical debater, but he has no voice.
Therefore, he goes nowhere, because, in this instance, only he himself can negotiate for the fair treatment.
That's how men, and the rare woman, do deals.
No muss, no fuss, just 'His word is good'
That's how Trump made $10 billion dollars.
He made it look easy, like child's play.
“My theory is that Trump and Cruz are playing Good Cop...Bad Cop, Trump takes the arrows for Cruz.”
If it is it’s not on purpose. Cruz is playing a smart game - if Trump implodes, most of Trump’s supporters will go to him.
Though Trump imploding is looking less and less likely.
What would do him in is if he were to espouse something that’s anathema with the conservatives... then Cruz would be there to pick up the pieces. And there’s a lot we don’t know about him on a lot of issues, especially social ones.
What has endeared Trump to most of us is that he is single handedly dismantling PC, which most of us see as ours and the country’s worst enemy, AND the fact that to the extent that he has enunciated his policies they mostly resonate with us.
Really? You really think Megyn will be fired? I think you’re dreaming.
You just might be onto something with this good cop bad cop idea. Cruz and Trump do seem to get along, don’t they?
I liken Trump to the lead blocker while Cruz carries the ball.
Looks to me as if it’s all a big game, sorta like two lawyers who viciously blast one another in court all day and then go out at 5:30 for a beer together. In truth, they are great and good friends.
In the same way, I suspect Trump very much enjoys having FNC as a foil, while FNC equally enjoys having Trump as a ratings draw. Each is dependent on the other, mutually indebted, as it were.
In other words, behind the scenes these ultimate insiders probably remain the biggest of buddies — while out front, Trump pretends to be a serious POTUS candidate who battles the duplicitous Fox alongside other evildoers, with FNC simultaneously pretending to be strictly a dedicated purveyor of important news.
Gotta love it, folks, gotta love it!
I recommend watching Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson on the Viewer’s View on Youtube. Heard about them on Rush. They have hilarious, spot-on observations and comments on Megan Kelly, Trump, Erickson, the GOP, black votes, and American greatness.
I heard on TV (Cavuto) that Trump & his team will spell out details about policy in a couple of days.
Trump just did to Fox what Reagan did to the Soviet Union with the same screeching by the Same people.
I think she will will wither away. If they fire her outright the democrap feminazis will go ballistic.
There’s no question her Fox babe brand has been damaged though: no one with ever look at her again without wondering if she has blood pouring out of her wherever. She has Erick Ericksen, Katie Pavlich and Samantha Ham and Carly Fiorina to thank for that lol.
Huge Bump??? Not gonna happen.
I do plan to continue watching Fox News, but never again Megyn and those other two losers, what'theirnames...!
You see who initiated the call.
Why do you guys rave about those black lady videos but fail to post a link?

Sorry I couldn't make a direct link out of that.
Oh, yeah. Roger Ailes decided it was time to eat some crow, and Donald was the guy who knew it was time to take the win and move on.
From here, it looks like child’s play, and that’s how Donald got super wealthy, taking the win rather than insisting on every last inch.
Donald is going to capitalize on this and take it to the White House.
Ailes will be a happy man too.
Ericson, now there’s a guy who volunteered to hang. What an idiot. After next weekend no one will remember him.
Yes— so true. I will never watch that bitch again.
