Trump: Media Treating Me Unfairly, Other GOP Candidates Jealous by Evan McMurry | 10:03 am, July 19th, 2015 VIDEO 1258
On This Week, Trump said the controversy had been ginned up by the media and a jealous pack of GOP rivals upset he was leading in the polls.
This whole thing was brought up be a lot of people that are competing against me currently, that arent even registering in the polls, because a lot of people are tired of them, Trump said, alluding to former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who called for Trump to exit the race following his comments about POWs. Theyre very upset that Im leading the polls, by a large margin.

“Trump agreed with former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkinson, that the media was treating him very unfairly.”
This is true.
Trump is right. He said the media generally lies and distorts the truth and his words.
So the media will now come at him hard.
I saw the video. Trump once again handled himself very well.
Keep it up Trump!! Go get ‘em.
McCain is no more a war hero than Sargent Bergdahl, also captured in war zone and kept captive for several years.
Neither displayed bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Audie Murphy was a true war hero. McCain just a bad pilot.
Thanks you for your service.
I know a bit about the military myself, having served in the AF for 28 years, and have had my own doubts about some of the conflicts into which this country has found itself.
I don’t fault Trump’s or anyone else’s decision not to join the military. Where I take issue is his casting aspersions upon the service of those who did. Anyone who endured six years as a POW deserves at least a measure of deference, especially from those who never put on a uniform.
BS. Bergdahl walked into a Taliban presence intentionally. There isn’t the slightest comparison between the two.
I am no backer of McCain, but let’s keep this in the zone of reality. Bergdahl was a scumbag looking to join the enemy.
Scott, of course any one who bothered to put on a uniform is to be commended.
The point of discussion however is if all prisoner of wars automatically deserve to be called war hero’s. Sargent Bergdahl was also a prisoner of war. But prior to capture there is no evidence Bergdahl performed any acts of bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Therefore he is not a war hero. And neither is McCain.
You have no evidence of that. We won't know what really happened until his court-martial results are made public. Until then it is all conjecture.

RE: Don’t hand ammunition to the media/enemy
#1: Re; your McCain comment: Never make a public comment that does not bring you benefit.
#2: Every public comment will be approved by some, disliked by others. Work to increase the % of the former, decrease % of the latter. Never play for a tie, or worse, a loss. You are smart enough to know which is which before you speak.
#3. In today’s electronic age, every comment is public. Just ask Romney, Jesse Jackson (W’re going to cut the nuts....”) or even fumduck Obama (”Please tell Vladimir...”)
#4; Just because it’s true, you don’t have to say it. Just because John McCain is not a great “War Hero” for his time spent in captivity, the truth of the comment did not make the comment beneficial to you.
#5: When you attack personally, you give those attacked the ability to respond personally. If McCain now said, “Does Trump’s combover hide a hole in his head where all the brains flowed out”” no one would blame him. Yesterday such a comment by McCain would have been thought of as petty. Today, it would be a fair shot. Keep your comments about opponents to their policies, actions, demonstrable failures, not the people themselves.... (and why make the small fry like John McCain an opponent?) You’ll have enough real, meaningful enemies. Why add to them?
“Praise a person and their actions.
Criticize only their actions.”
#6; Never forget Rule #1 Every national election is decided by the 8-12 % “middle of the roaders.” Right or wrong, they like McCain. Whether they agree with his policies or not. the 8-12 % think he at least is a “nice guy.” Why take that shot when there was no gain in it for you?
P.S. Old Navy friend said McCain was involved in the loss of 3 USN aircraft in his career. Said, “Two more downed Navy planes and we’re going to make John an honorary Japanese Ace!”
All great points!
Welcome to the party, pal.

During the draft, all draft-age boys and men could not possibly have gone into the military; there would’ve been too many. Guys with high lottery numbers never went. College deferments were given. There were 4D (IV D) deferments for people studying for the ministry.
And I heard Trump explain the medical reason(s) he didn’t serve. If the military refused to take him for medical reasons, what was he supposed to do? Force his way in? Pay attention.
May be McCain deliberately had his aircraft shot down, so he would get captured, and could pass himself as “war hero” and get elected senator. We just do not know, do we what was in his head!

Yeah.. I’m sure. You’re going from the sublime to the ridiculous now. Did he also “arrange” to be tortured by concentration camp interrogators?
How about you pay attention?
Trump received four non-medical deferments PRIOR to the one for medical reasons.
I realize you Trump worshippers are needing to frantically spin and rationalize his every move and statement, but let’s include ALL the facts, shall we?
Maybe so, but the point is that Trump shouldn’t have brought up his status as a POW. Even Cruz called McCain a war hero...
This could be the beginning of the end for Trump...
Not at this point. They have all caved and circled the wagon. They showed their true colors, and now, who would believe them if they backtrack? Not me.
Wow! Who knew Martha Raddatz had such a profound respect for the dignity of our Veterans?
She was down right indignant about how Trump supposedly disrespected them. I have to admire her for standing up for an issue that obviously matters so much to her, even though she’s probably only cared about it for a day at the most.
McCain can not end Trump.
Neither can Graham or Perry or Rubio or RNC.
Only the voters in primaries will decide.
Keep remembering in your mind, there are no sugar daddy rich donors pulling Trump’s strings, as is the case for all other 15 candidates. Only Trump will decide if he wants to drop out of the GOP race, run as 3rd party (he can buy many Perot’s and have money left over) or drop out completely.
The left is petrified of Trump. And Martha has always been a democrat. She has no profound respect for the vets, what she has is abject fear of Trump winning nomination. Her job is to take down Trump the best she can. She is a twin sister of Lois Lerner from IRS.
