Members of the Congressional Black Caucus criticized Baltimore's efforts to disconnect water service for unpaid bills in a letter Monday that was focused primarily on utility privatization in Nigeria..
City officials announced in March they were sending shut-off notices to about 25,000 customers who owed a collective $40 million in overdue bills. The move prompted some activists to call for a moratorium on shut-offs in the city...

Now it’s going to be a water desert.
Just what exactly is wrong with having private utility companies?
We have private electric companies, private gas companies, private trash-collectors, and private phone companies.
Why not privatise water? (I’m not a libertarian, but it does sound like a decent idea)
fourteen percent of the population. You’d think it was 60 the way they dominate the news. And always in a bad way.
But they vote. that’s their job. One day every four years. Can’t beat it.
And they are overriding our votes to get FREE STUFF!
It is complete and utter insanity.
WTH is a congressional black caucus anyway?!
I thought MLK wanted people to be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
we should have picked our own cotton.
It’s actually less than 13%.
I cant believe it stayed at that over the years with the way they breed.
But still, it’s a 13 percent head start for the dem candidate.
Good news is pantsuit is polling terribly and she leads Cruz by a point or two. That’s nothing.
One debate will swing at least five percent to his side.
The way they’re distributed in the different states doesn’t help the Democrats that much in the Electoral College. In may of the Southern states, for instance, they make up large majorities, but those states invariably go Republican because most of the whites there are at least somewhat conservative and vote as a bloc.
That’s good to know.
I looked at the breakdown by state and you are right. Wow.
I can’t believe how many states with barely any blacks vote demonrat. I am stunned and heartbroken by their idiocy. Maybe because they dont have to deal with them they have the luxury of voting dem.
Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania and Virginia they might hurt us. But that’s because white people are idiots!!!
especially the under 30 crowd.
“Why not privatise water?”
I just retired from 30 years as the operator of a privately held public water supply company. There are many, but they tend to be small. We had about 350 connections.
Abortion.
You’re right. Maybe many millions over the past forty years.
It seems like they pop out so many kids here in NYC. Maybe it’s different elsewhere. Plus ex cons can’t vote right?
Either way, I cant be happy there are millions of less dems because of abortion. I’d rather lose an election than see those millions killed.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you will always have the support of Paul.
Reparations via the creation of a whole new set of “wards of the state”...
They are shortsighted and desperate; whites would vote for smaller government and lower taxes when they felt they could get ahead, but now that so many are resigned to a low standard of living they vote like socialist gibsmedats.
And there were Service Disconnects for overdue bills as at ALL Systems, Right ?
I always hated doing them. Never knew if the door was going to open (after you knocked on it to try and collect or tell them to draw some water before the off) and have a gun come out of it or the Lady of the House step out in a towel all soaped up because she was in the shower when you knocked.
I've never seen a name recognition poll concerning Cruz, but I'd bet a very large pct. of Americans have no idea who he is. Things will start getting far more interesting one year from now.
More businesses will have to post “Facilities for paying customers” signs and enforcing them to keep themselves “afloat” when the riff-raff comes in for a “sits bath”.
FREE stuff that you're paying for. Thanks
we dont even get a thanks,. We get hatred and jealousy and rage and riots. it’s almost unbelievable.
