Five Reasons Why Republicans Won’t Nominate Jeb Bush
The American Spectator ^ | 6.15.15 | Aaron Goldstein

1. Illegal Immigration is Act of Love

2. Dismisses Opponents of Common Core as Conspiracy Theorists

3. Praise of Hillary Clinton 4. He is Way Past His Prime

Jeb Bush’s entry into the presidential race marks the first time he has run for office since 2002. By contrast, Scott Walker has run in three elections since 2010.

5. His Last Name

Yet perhaps the biggest albatross Bush faces is his very name. This is perhaps unfair. But this is especially true after he told Megyn Kelly last month that he would have authorized the War in Iraq. After taking heat over the comments, Bush would later claim he misunderstood the question and said he would not have authorized the war after all.

Free Republic is like a little microcosm of the nation’s conservatives. If we can’t coalesce by mid fall, neither can the nation.

We would do well to remember that no deity or son thereof is running. We need to coalesce behind someone with 75% or more conservative past actions and beliefs. The gentleman will NOT be perfect. Some will support him more than others. But we need someone constitutional and someone who can explain what that means straight to the lowest info voters. Everything else is gravy.

FReepers better stop wishing for The Infallible Candidate.

Bush hung with the Schiavo family for Terri, until it went to a Congressional settlement in Washington, DC., as I recall. Am I wrong? I know he spoke out in her favor through out most of that fight in Florida.

We are still watching the horses to see which one is closest to “infallible”, stays closest for the longest.

Also, I want to see the first debate in February.

Laura Ingraham said tonight on Bret Baier that if another Establishment candidate comes in with millions and millions of dollars and wins the nomination, but loses the general, she fully expects the Republicans to change our primary apparatus, so that the money can not determine the winner and somehow that more candidates in a regional set up can have a better chance against an establishment horse. I didn’t really get the gist of it given her time constraints.

Bush, as the chief law enforcement officer in the state of Florida, had the absolute obligation to protect Terri under the US Constitution he swore to support and defend, and in line with Article One, Section 2 of the Florida constitution.

He did neither.

So, all his talk means less than nothing.

I thought her case was sunk in the House of Representatives.
Jeb said and did what was possible for the longest part of that ordeal. I will have to check that out, but I think I might be correct. Her bishop did her in, I remember that.

That was quick. There is a Google article up from February that Terri “Schiavo’s brother defends Bush saying that the Right to Die group is behind trying to tar Jeb Bush”.

I just started. There is more there. I wanted to get back to you.

Did she mean for THIS coming election, or that they would surely change primary rules for 2020? I’m sick of waiting.

The Republican establishment has one major problem. They cannot campaign on the grass root level. They do no door bell, they do not wave signs, they do not phone bank. All they do is go to the dinner parties and get drunk. They are worthless.

Hillary Who-Who? and Trump in the General?

If Trump runs 3rd party like Perot in 92 and 96, a Clinton will be back in the White House.

“Ambassador Stevens could not be reached for his comments.”

I know he (Jeb) spoke out in her (Terri) favor throughout most of that fight in FL

So it's presidential to lack courage? If he really wanted to save her, he should've done something dramatic.

You just can't put lipstick on the pig.

But I seriously doubt Trump has a chance to win the nomination

I don't think anyone knows. Most people who are isolated from the real world don't realize how FED UP most US citizens are. Trump's a communicator who sells things. He can articulate the anger and sell himself, better than the rest.

Those who stayed home in 2012 dumped Obama on us.

Romney dumped Romney on us. He refused to campaign for votes from the "lower 47%". He backed off on highlighting Benghazi as a campaign issue. He said stupid things like "corporations are people too".

Santorum would've had a shot at it if he didn't start yapping about the need to compromise when he was gaining traction.

Don't blame those who stayed home. Acknowledge that a globalist in constitutional conservative disguise will not get through the campaign.

Florida Constitution. Article One, SECTION 2. Basic rights.—All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, to be rewarded for industry, and to acquire, possess and protect property; except that the ownership, inheritance, disposition and possession of real property by aliens ineligible for citizenship may be regulated or prohibited by law. No person shall be deprived of any right because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

-- The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

-- The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution

Governor Jeb Bush swore a sacred oath before God and the people to enforce those explicit, imperative requirements. He was a coward and did not do so. Like Pontius Pilate, he washed his hands of the whole thing and moved on.

What any other officer of government in any other branch did or did not do with their own oath is completely irrelevant to Jeb Bush's non-feasance.

Looks like a three horse race to me: Walker (outside the beltway cred), Jebbie (dinero), and Slick Marco (running a good campaign and apparently Romney will hook him up with big donors).

One reason why Republicans WILL nominate Jeb Bush:

The Global Powers that really run things demand it.

Mark my words, he WILL be the 2016 WeePublican candidate.

They don’t care. As Cruz on Obamatrade shows, all the candidates can be bought. When it costs $1 billion to run for POTUS the corportists run the show.

It's called, "hedging your bet". Hillary or Jeb, what's the difference? Either way, they win.
