Five Reasons Why Republicans Won’t Nominate Jeb Bush
The American Spectator ^ | 6.15.15 | Aaron Goldstein

Posted on 06/15/2015 7:34:54 PM PDT by entropy12

1. Illegal Immigration is Act of Love

2. Dismisses Opponents of Common Core as Conspiracy Theorists

3. Praise of Hillary Clinton 4. He is Way Past His Prime

Jeb Bush’s entry into the presidential race marks the first time he has run for office since 2002. By contrast, Scott Walker has run in three elections since 2010.

5. His Last Name

Yet perhaps the biggest albatross Bush faces is his very name. This is perhaps unfair. But this is especially true after he told Megyn Kelly last month that he would have authorized the War in Iraq. After taking heat over the comments, Bush would later claim he misunderstood the question and said he would not have authorized the war after all.

Hahaha, yap, the Rats get real pissed when their vote stealing falls a bit short. Having watched mayor Daley for 37 years in Chicago, he was a master at manipulating elections by every trick in the book.

The author forgot the important stuff.

1. He's not telegenic.
2. He does not speak very well, is not persuasive.
3. He has no one really as a natural constituency, he excites few and isn't greatly likable.

4. He did remember about the last name problem.......

But “most Republicans” don’t even understand these issues.

Hillary and Trump in the General? That will be a nauseating love fest between those two. But I seriously doubt Trump has a chance to win nomination.

We shall get a better picture tomorrow at 11:00 AM Eastern.

I myself think, Trump will surprize a bunch of people.

I do depend on God to look out for me in this life.

I also believe that if things go south God is still in control and things will work out for my eternal good. My position as God’s adopted child, and God’s promise of a new heaven and a new earth supercede worries about Benghazi grannie.

He’s a Bush, times five.

There.

Voted for daddy and brother, but I’m done with them.

Sorry Jeb: third time is NOT a charm. Go back to Mexico.

I have watched every presidential election closely since JFK-Nixon. I am convinced the number ONE reason for winning is LIKABILITY. Reagan had it, Bill Clinton had it, GWB was more likable than Gore. Sometimes a pathological liar like Obama can win by telling lies over and over. But that is rare.

I am in the same boat as you. I sincerely hope it is not Bush versus Hillary in General.

Sometimes I have to write a name in, but my vote is always FOR a candidate with my values.

That's good, because there's no space on a ballot for "vote against". You understand that if you vote FOR someone, you vote FOR what they stand for Those who vote FOR progressive Republicans are voting to perpetuate the problems America faces.

Jeb can win by dividing conservative voters. There simply are not enough conservative voters to Anoint 2 or more conservative candidates over a lone RINO. Romney would not have won, one on one against Newt or Santorum.

In fairness to Jeb Bush, he governed Florida more conservatively than Romney did in Massachusetts. However pandering to illegals is too much for me to stomach.

Correct! Can’t be said enough. We must coalesce early around a candidate. Don’t forget the Dim crossover vote. The deck is stacked against us but we can do this.

Those who stayed home in 2012, dumped Obama on us. 8 years of Obama damage & destruction, will be impossible to reverse. Socialized healthcare will be here in perpetuity, Iraq is lost, Iran will get nukes, dreamers are here to stay in perpetuity, more Baltimore’s are coming, middle class will suffer for decades to come.

This thread got to #34, all reasons to not vote for Jeb, without mentioning Terri Schiavo.

You can say same about democrat voters. I personally know 2 democrat voters, my frequent fellow golfers. It is so pathetic how little they know the real story.

If voting was limited to posters on FR, Bush would lose in the biggest landslide ever. But this thread is about Bush’s chances with all primary voters nationwide. Voter memories are short and getting shorter. I doubt even 5% remember Terri Schiavo.

We can and we must coalesce behind one candidate. Or the Republic is irrevocably lost. The TPP must be stopped or what we do is irrelevant . Based upon what I have heard we will be in a position similar to Britain in the EU. Just ask Sorous.
