Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93% —an opponent of the secretive Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would fast-track the Pacific Rim trade deal Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP)—went inside the secret room inside the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday morning to read the TPP text and told Breitbart News exclusively afterwards that he believes President Barack Obama should make it public now.
The deal’s text is kept in a room behind double doors that each have signs: “No Public Or Media Beyond This Point.”
“I think the staff signed an agreement [which didn’t include a non-disclosure]—they signed in, it’s a normal procedure,” he explained. “But I wasn’t required to sign in.”

Well, actually yes. He’s my favorite candidate, and I cannot imagine who else I would vote for. But unless one believes that Obama is suddenly a trustworthy patriot, then it would be treason to give Barak Obama secret, fast track trade authority. And yes, that includes if Cruz votes for it.
Especially evil is how many things are addressed in this treaty that are not trade.
The controversial TPP, of course, is disguised as a treaty to promote “free trade” — more properly described as managed or corporatist trade — among nations surrounding the Pacific. However, the TPP agreement, currently being negotiated behind closed doors by governments, dictatorships, and special interests, includes some major surprises. As The New American reported recently, a leaked chapter of the TPP deal would create NAFTA-style international “tribunals” with the purported authority to override American laws, courts, and even the U.S. and state constitutions — all for the benefit of special interests, foreigners, and crony capitalists. The American people and self-government would be the big losers.
Another chapter of the agreement making headlines this week, meanwhile, purports to regulate immigration policies among TPP signatories. “The Trans-Pacific Partnership includes an entire chapter on immigration,” observed Curtis Ellis, executive director of the American Jobs Alliance, in a post for The Hill. “It is a Trojan horse for Obama’s immigration agenda. House members who were ready to defund the Department of Homeland Security to stop President Obama’s executive action on immigration must not give him TPA, which he will use to ensure his immigration actions are locked in when he leaves office.”

The current Pacific Rim agreement, which would include Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam — Pacific Rim countries (at the moment not China, but eventually it will) — provides that there should be free flow of labor among the signatories, just like in the European Union.
What this means is that Congress can no longer control Mexican immigration into the United States, or Central American immigration, because any law that congress passes, quota-ing or limiting the number of people who can come in legally is superseded by treaty under the Constitution, and this treaty requirement of free flow of labor would vitiate any attempt by Congress to regulate immigration.
It’s amazing how far we’ve sunk that WE the people are not allowed to see what our servants are doing to us. And what’s worse we meekly put up with it.
We deserve every thing we get.
If this is true and Cruz knows this, He owes it to His backers to come out immediately and explain it to us, if he does not He will get nowhere near the white house. If someone knows how to contact him they should do so immediately.

Voting for cloture is not the same as voting for a bill.
Cloture motion simply allows congress critters to vote and go on record.
You can still fight the bill and amend like the Dem just did it!
Paul voted to stop debate and cram the bill thru with a simple majority..
The treaty is dead if it can get by Cloture which requires 60 votes to overcome a filibuster !
After that vote you need only a 50 votes and the VP.
Once fast track is passed the constitutional requiring 66 votes is dead.

I’m pretty pissed at Ted Cruz for voting to end cloture on this one. The secrecy nature of this alone tells me it stinks, couple that with Obola’s support and I’m damn sure it’s bad for the U.S. A true conservative would never vote for a bill held in secret unless it was of the utmost national security. A trade bill may have a national security component, but not the entire bill. There’s a stench all over this thing and Cruz better have sufficient reasoning.
So Obola and the rats have figured a way around 2/3rds majority ratification of treaties and McConnell falls right in line. Tell me again why I have to vote Republican?

It didn't pass and the Dims, who kept it from passing, are trying to amend it.
We have a lot of defeatists who will take any track of low-to-no information to trash Cruz early in the game. No wonder we can't ever end up with a decent candidate come election time.
