LANSING, Mich. (AP) Former Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis is joining the presidential campaign of Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.
Cruzs campaign announced Monday that Anuzis will serve as the state chair for the Republican presidential hopeful. Anuzis will also be a senior adviser helping organize the campaigns grassroots efforts.
Cruz says Anuzis has a strong record of leadership, success, and exemplary management in Michigan.(continued)

Actually it’s not so much the headline which uses the word “join” as it is how people read it as something else.
For a confirmed team member we should expect Ted to publicly announce or for his campaign team to issue a press release.
This one looks like an opportunist to get in on the growing groundswell of support for a true conservative.
God knows you don’t hire a good attorney for his morality.
Here’s the bigger story:
Cruz’s organization is well enough to plan ahead for future primaries. They’re already building a strategy after the first primaries are over so that if success happens in IA/SC it can very likely be sustained.
Man I hope this guy succeeds. He’s doing everything right and then some.
Very, very concerning to me. Anuses is toxic. Cruz shouldn’t be within 1,000 miles of this Willardbot.
I don’t trust him but he is biggest political operative in the state and can bring big bucks.
I know Cruz met with Anuzis several months ago and I’m assuming has done his homework.
Well, I guess Cruz ain’t gonna win the MI primary.
Cruz could win the MI primary. We have Ronna Romney as the chair of the party (Barf) Saul is where Cruz can keep a watchful eye on him. Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. The grassroots are quite riled up here in MI. Good discussion this past weekend up north in Belaire. Cruz was the subject of many of our conversations and very liked in grassroots circles.
Do you live there? My hometown for much of my childhood years. Many many moons ago.
He’s more likely just an advisor and won’t run the day to day operations.
He’ll most likely be paid for some of his efforts, stands to reason.

Anuzis said there are six finalists competing for a job on the Cruz campaign
to be the paid state director for Michigan.

Whatever the case may be, I don’t like seeing RINO’s taking positions in Cruz’s campaign, since if he wins, then they will be the ones populating his administration and trying subvert Conservatives (like they always do). Think Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt.
I dont like seeing RINOs taking positions in Cruzs campaign,

Well apparently Cruz doesn’t object. You get the best that you
think will preform the job he’s asking of them.
Cruz should know better, and one would have thought that Palin would have warned him about hiring these kinds of professional political hacks based on her own sorry experience.
I suspect Cruz has a pretty good handle on what he’s doing. Sometimes
you take on people just to keep them from your opposition. This guy can
help with his fundraising I suspect in MI. Take care.
I haven’t listened to it but I thought you might want to.
