* Fiorina claims in Rising to the Challenge that John McCain asked her to help Palin 'get up to speed on the economic issues facing the country'
* 'I never did get the chance to fulfill Senator McCain's request ... although I made numerous requests to meet with her during the campaign'
* To this day Fiorina, a contender for the 2016 GOP nomination, says she still hasn't met the Tea Party superstar
* Palin endorsed Fiorina in 2010 when she was competing in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in California, but it was via Facebook
* A spokeswoman for Fiorina's presidential campaign told Daily Mail Online in an email after this article was published that the candidate 'was simply making the point that during the 2008 election she didn't meet Gov. Palin'
The 2008 presidential campaign may have turned out differently for the Republican Party if Sarah Palin and John McCain hadn't blown off her advice, Carly Fiorina suggests in her new book, released this morning.
Former Hewlett Packard executive Fiorina reveals in her memoir, Rising to the Challenge, that then-Republican presidential nominee McCain asked her to help Palin 'get up to speed on the economic issues facing the country' but Palin wasn't interested in her counsel.
Fiorina, a contender for the 2016 GOP nomination, says she still hasn't met the Tea Party superstar even though Palin endorsed her in 2010 when she was competing in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in California.
A surrogate for McCain in 2008 and a member of his inner circle, Fiorina claims in her memoir that two days before the Arizona senator made public his surprising pick for vice president, he called her on the phone and asked her to advise Palin....

He and his inept campaign organization were capable of and did engage in cutthroat politics against his primary opponents. I thought that would carry over to the general election but Romney and his campaign organization went softer than a limp penis when it came to opposing Obama.
You know that is interesting. I have become convinced that the best thing for America now is the presidency of Dr. Ben Carson. We have many good candidates ( not bush) but this man stands out. My wife and I were sitting out here tonight on the farm and we looked at each other after Megan Kelly’s interview with Dr. Carson and we had tears in our eyes. We are going to the caucus and voting for him. What a gift from God this man is. He may lack foreign policy expertise— but that crap has killed us since bush was elected. I want a change!!
The Hell?!
Dingbat.
What a maroon..McCain lost the election the second Wall Street tanked, his campaign was done from that moment..Ronald Reagan could have been McCain’s running mate at that time and they would have lost..the ONLY reason I repeat the ONLY reason why I voted for John “We don’t have to fear an Obama Presidency” McCain is because of Sarah Palin..otherwise I would have stayed home
.
Bye, bye Carly!
.
Two leading Silicon Valley chief executives, reacting Wednesday to criticism they've shipped too many high-tech jobs overseas, defended hiring workers in India and China and warned that the United States and particularly California were in danger of losing their competitive edge to the Far East. "There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore," said Carly Fiorina, chairman of Palo Alto information technology giant Hewlett Packard . . . .
That advice? I'm glad Gov. Palin didn't listen.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Carly Carly Carly you ignorant _____!
I was starting to like her somewhat this time around, never did care for her much before now I remember why; alas there is no accounting for stupidity.
This from a candidate who lost the 2012 race for US Senate in California by 25 points.
Carly, I want to enjoy your candidacy for how ever long it lasts. I like when you tell people like Katie Couric to stfu,
but bringing Sarah Palin into the discussion, saying you were trying to school her? No. Don’t go there. Your going to lose our favor before we hear your stump speech. You must not know what Sarah means to us. Do your homework Babydoll!
why would Sarah, a successful governor, listen to a failed corporate officer.
You left out Ben Carson, Christie, Santorum.
right ..McCain lost because he is McCain....I think Palin actually got him more votes!
Sarah Palin and Carley are tough as nails, cause stress to Hillary and Warren supporters and deserve 100% support. Anti-Americans, such as London journalists, persuade us to reject one or both of them.
The goal is to renew the Kingship of Christ as outlined in the Declaration of Independence. Carley understands that as well as Sarah.
Indeed.
True words well said
Fiorina, you just burned your last conservative bridge. Wallow in it, and give McJuan a big part and parcel kiss. Smooches, stupid.
We have these lovely parting gifts, Carly.
Tell her what she’s won Jay.
