Ben Carson announces presidential run!
I think Barky killed any chance for a black to be President for the forseeable future.
This is the year of the outsider. Go Ben! Go Carly! Executive experience just means you have already sold out.
Oh, I was wrong, putting holes in folks is not a medical concern, silly me.
One can argue about the truth or falsity of such anticipations, but one cannot just shout them down and still plausibly pretend to care about the FIRST amendment.
I would normally agree, but I'm not sure any of the candidates really believe in the Bill of Rights and our Constitution. So I'll watch each candidate and try to pick the best out of them. I don't know if Walker has seen the light on amnesty or if he is saying the right things now to get elected. Cruz made me pause when he said he would consider means testing social security. The government made a contract with its people and is now considering breaking that contract. This is taking away from those who saved, to give to those the government decides are more deserving. It's more social engineering. They may as well start taxing our savings. Yet, we seem to have plenty of extra money for illegals to settle here. We have plenty of money for the skyrocketing disability claims. We have plenty of money to support countries and groups that support terrorism. We have plenty of money for ObamaCare, which the Republicans, except for Carson, have let fall off the radar.
Yes, I actually listened to his whole 30 minute speech without getting bored.
Thanks for an intelligent post on this thread. I am sick of the one liner snarky posts. I heard Dr. Carson’s entire speech. I did not hear anything which does not make sense.
No it isn't actually - patching them up is. I have no use for a candidate who publically states that there should be even further limitations on our right to keep and bear arms
That’s not what he said. Look up the exact quote.
Those who are willing to trade the illusion of security (ie gun control) for freedom will have neither - to slightly paraphrase Franklin. There was a reason that the founding fathers placed freedom on speech and the right to keep and bear arms as the FIRST two amendments to the constitution.
I don’t care who the candidate is, there is no way I vote for someone for President who has never held any elected office.
The presidency requires someone who doesn’t need training wheels.
So if it was Carson against Hitlery, you wouldn’t vote?
So you admit, it has medical consequences.
He did not publicly state any such thing, however; it was a conclusion you jumped to.
Aw don’t confuse us with the facts.
Whoopie.
Well, Carson has as much shot at the nomination as I do.
But, if you want to go down that road, I will most likely not be voting for either of the Big Two candidates because I do not belong to either of those thoroughly useless & destructive parties or support their candidates in upticket races.
That said, I'll keep an eye on Cruz to see how he does and what he says during the campaign. But he does not have my automatic support. Far from it.

Both parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)
Ben Carson is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN
Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama still ISN'T!
In a Cruz cabinet? Fine. For president? No.
I would vote for him in an instant in the general.
He does need to be coached on the 2nd amendment though.
Congressman or Senator might be a good start. Or a gubernatorial run somewhere. Learn what it means to run something.
Thanks.
Really? Farmers have Constitutional rights, but not people who live in Chicago? Yeah, that'll work. /s
You are of course right. However we had presidents who were not previously elected, such as Eisenhower.
I see no path for Dr Carson to win nomination. However, what he is saying is important, and will help push GOP towards his agenda. So it is all good.
