NASHUA, N.H. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has attended a wedding reception for a gay couple, he said Sunday, though the potential 2016 contender still believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.
Thats certainly a personal issue. For a family member, Tonette and I and our family have already had a family member whos had a reception. I havent been at a wedding, Walker said when msnbc asked whether he would be willing to attend a gay wedding. Thats true even though my position on marriage is still that its defined between a man and a woman, and I support the constitution of the state. But for someone I love, weve been at a reception.
The Wisconsin state constitution had banned gay marriage until a federal judge ruled the ban unconstitutional in 2014. Wisconsin newspapers reported that Walker attended a reception for his wifes cousin, Shelli Marquardt, shortly thereafter. After a brief period, an appeal halted gay marriages in Wisconsin but they resumed late last year when the Supreme Court rejected the appeal.
Walker isnt the only potential GOP candidate willing to attend such events. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who announced his presidential bid last week, told the cable network Fusion that he would participate.
If theres somebody that I love thats in my life, I dont necessarily have to agree with their decisions or the decisions theyve made to continue to love them and participate in important events, Rubio said....

Can you tell me if Cruz would attend? He seemed reluctant to say.
How about Jeb Bush or Chris Christy?
In all my years I strove to vote for the lessor of the evil men.
We don’t want a “perfect” candidate; we want one that isn’t a liberal.
If you want a real Scott Walker thread, go here.
Technically every one on this earth he was with or spoke to was a sinner. Did he support their sin? No. He spoke of turning from sin.
I’m trying to think of a gay friend that might get married and that I might want to patronize by attending a reception even for free beer.......,p>
I got nothing.
Have you ever voted for a man who was perfect?
Or, like the rest of the voters, did you have to settle on the one who was the lessor of the two evils?
Well I guess if that is how you see it. You don’t have to vote for him, but I will be running to vote for him over Hillary any minute of the day and twice on Sunday.
It's right to refuse the question as long as you powerfully reject the premise of the question. Ex: "Ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she would attend a female circumcision"
Get it through your head B-E. WE DON’T WANT ANY FREAKIN LIBERALS, REPUB OR DEM! GOT IT???!!!
Go take your RINO Cheer Squad somewhere else!

The top line belongs to Balding_Eagle. He seemed to be casting suspicion on Cruz. I asked him why he didn’t make a similar comment about the big Lib Repubs Jebby and Christy.
Balding_Eagle is one of the top members of FR’s Lib Lovin’ RINO Licker contingent. They love supporting liberals with “R’s” next to their names. They’d vote for Hillary if she had the GOP endorsement.
You were inferring that you were voting for a perfect candidate, I wonder who that was.
I’ve never seen Jesus on any ballot, so obviously you are supporting, and plan to vote for someone who is like Jesus in everyway, including perfection. I wonder who that is?
So far this election cycle, the only candidates, announced and unannounced, I see are all human, and born with sin.
Unless someone else steps up, we are going to have to chose for the lessor of two evils.
The reason for my question is simple.
There is a fairly large contingent at FR who want to infer that Cruz would not attend, They put it out as gospel. It isn't gospel that Cruz wouldn't attend, it's only speculation.
So I call them on it, and few, if any, have even responded, I think they know the truth.
You were inferring that you were voting for a perfect candidate, I wonder who that was.
Stop trying to assign our opinion. That’s a tactic used by Alinskyesque “progressives.”
The only ones talking about a “Perfect Candidate” are the Republican Liberal squad members like YOU! I’ve only said I want a candidate that isn’t a liberal (Jeb, Christy, etc...).
That means I want a candidate who doesn’t back stab the parties Conservative base. That doesn’t sound like a “perfect candidate,” it just sounds like one that isn’t a freakin traitor.
The GOP hands you a crap sandwich, you scarf it down and ask for another. It’s time to remind them that THEY WORK FOR US!
What’s that? I can’t hear you over the noise of your RINO buddies performing fellatio on their fellow liberals across the aisle.
So did “Mavawick” McCain’s involvement in the IRS targeting of Conservative groups make you love him even more?
That’s the type of “Republican” YOU want us to vote for!
The reason for my observations and questions was that in 142 you seemed to be suggesting that you weren’t going to have to vote for the lessor of two evils.
You used the illustration; “Thats like choosing whether to have your daughter brutally raped and severely beaten or instead to be brutally raped and mildly beaten. Some of us believe the rape of our daughters is unacceptable.”
The inference being (as I read it) that you had found someone without sin.
I’m telling you, if you plan to vote in the Presidential Election, you are going to be forced to chose between the lessor of two evils. No matter the primary outcome.
I don’t accept traitors or back stabbers.
Shove up your liberal butt.
Well, that’s a whole different issue than voting for the lessor of two evils.
You’ve simply and directly referenced a level of evil you won’t accept, and probably won’t vote for.
You do need to find a button I respond to.
These are mundane, predictable, boring really.
I believe that none are righteous but if a sinful man, like Cruz, truly fears and has faith in God, his leadership will be established in righteousness. God ordains good leaders and bad leaders. He never calls on us to compromise on good or evil.
