Potential president candidates like Ted Cruz, Scott Walker and Rand Paul have very real and substantial grass roots support across the country from voters in the Republican base. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has very little support of that kind, so his well-funded and GOP establishment supported campaign is entirely made of AstroTurf. In this context, AstroTurf is a description of campaign efforts, almost entirely organized by paid staff and other methods secured by spending money rather inspiring volunteer activists, to gain support for a candidate or cause. The Republican establishment, who have quietly anointed Jeb Bush as their candidate, and the liberal media, who seem to believe Bush is the ideal GOP nominee because he would lose to Hillary Clinton in 2016, have joined forces to entirely manufacture the Jeb Bush campaign entirely out of AstroTurf.
The latest instance of this is form yesterday's news, where CNN reports that, Jeb Bush narrowly leads the 2016 Republican field of presidential contenders in New Hampshire, a new poll has found but also has major problems to overcome with general election voters.
That's the perfect narrative for the liberal media to report, or to put it in plain English, the Republicans are going to nominate a weak candidate who will surely lose the general election in 2016 to former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. That's what the mainstream media actually wants to happen....

Maybe he can get a huge discount and buy up all that astroturf that Romney ordered.
Bush / Clinton 2016!
Clinton / Bush 2020!
Uniparty Rules!
be prepared for the massive campaign to smear Cruz, Walker, et al
No amount of money will encourage me to vote for Jeb Bush. He is DOA.
Astro Turf indeed.
Other then his brother talking about it, I can think of no one who was interested in seeing him run.
He should be buried under his own astro-turf and forgotten.
Bush is not running to win anything. He is running to put the most whacko amnesty program on the table, in order to make the actual GOPe amnesty appear to be not quite so crazy.
Voting has become something like a farmer going to buy feeder pigs and being shown a selection of wolves.
Nary a negative peep about Bush from the usual liberal sources so far. But, every low information voter in American can tell you how wacky-dumb Sarah Palin is and that Tea Party advocates are hateful racists.
Jebbie IMO will be a one debate pony. Cruz, Paul, Perry and Jindal will rip him up.
There is literally nothing that will make me vote for Bush.
Jeb Bush thinks conservatism needs to be “reformed”, which means he is not a conservative
That also seems to be what the GOPE actually wants to happen too
I heard on the radio today that Jebbie is about to release a book about his “leadership style”.
I hope the conservatives are ready to point out that we need substance, not style.
If his last name wasn’t Bish, Jeb would remind me
of Huntsmam at this stage of the last cycle.
