What we really crave is a conservative winner who doesn't cave. And Scott Walker is very arguably that guy.
He won in 2010. He picked a fight with Big Labor and won. He survived a recall. And he won again in 2014 by almost the same margin as he did in 2010. That's three wins in four years for a man who governed as a conservative reformer in a state that the Republican presidential nominee hasn't carried since 1984.

That is a great point. Yeah 3 elections in purple Wisconsin in 4 years!!
Name one blue state where, if you removed the heavily populated cities, it isn’t almost all red. Take away LA/SF and, voila, CA as red as it gets. Same for NY without NYC and its ‘burbs. IL without Chicago is nice and red. Etc., etc., etc. Nothing special about WI on that score.
But as noted here and elsewhere, WI has not given its electoral votes to a Republican presidential candidate since 1984 when Reagan swept the whole country, except his opponent’s home state.
There is the argument to be made that our aging population needs tax paying immigrants (legal) to provide services (health, housekeeping, maintenance) to us aging folks. It seems to be beneath a lot of the youngsters here.
I’m not convinced, but the argument is supportable.
Robots. That’s what the Japanese are already doing.
Sorry, I was thinking of Cruz when I said they would wait until Sept. or Oct. to come out with their lies and propaganda against him.
Walker has already survived them.
Walker, the one guy every faction of the party can unite behind. Bump
If conservative ever unite behind one guy, and I really don’t care who it is, RINO candidates are finished. He/she does not have to be pure as white snow, 100% right wing conservative. Just be someone electable. Someone who can steal votes from Hillary. Someone who will appeal to all factions of republicans and independents.
