Best-Positioned Rival to Jeb Bush
NY Times ^ | JAN. 12, 2015 | Nate Cohn

And for all of the talk about the depth of the Republican field, the opposition to Mr. Bush remains unclear and underwhelming.

That is in part because many of the high-profile potential Republican contenders — like Ted Cruz, Chris Christie and Rand Paul — are factional and flawed candidates with tough routes to the party’s nomination.

Nonetheless, there will be demand for an alternative to Mr. Bush, even from within the so-called Republican establishment. Since Friday, attention has focused on Mitt Romney, who said in a meeting of top advisers and donors that he was considering a third run.

But the more compelling challenger may be Scott Walker, the battle-hardened governor of Wisconsin. He has made moves toward running, and on paper, he’s the type of candidate who should deeply concern Mr. Bush.

The RINOS would rather give Obama a third term than see a Tea Party candidate elected.

Ted Cruz has what the Dems and Rinos fear most.

My recommendation is whichever conservative has the most delegates after Iowa, NH & SC should be the standard bearer for conservatives. Others should drop out and declare support for him/her.

That is true. They are scared of Cruz more than others.

I say the more the merrier!

Let them ALL run! and then lets see who the best/last man standing will be!

I predict Cruz will destroy them all in the debates.

That won’t work in my opinion. Romney had a hard time exceeding 30% in earlier primaries. The other 70% voters opted for somebody else until Romney gathered enough delegates to become inevitable. What will work is ONLY ONE conservative candidate running after South Carolina primary. But can conservatives squelch their ego’s and unite?

With the Slimes endorsing Bush and Romney, you know who Hillary wants to run against.

Run, Ted, run!

Governor Walker is finishing his degree. He’ll have it by the time he runs. If he runs.

I am certain Cruz will win the debates. But that won’t be enough to win nomination. Because there are lot of church lady voters for Santorum who will not vote for Cruz, there are plenty of libertarian leaning voters who want smaller government above all who will vote for Rand Paul over Cruz, there are plenty of Christian fundamentalists who will prefer Huckabee over Cruz, and there are plenty of republicans who prefer a governor over a senator, who won’t vote for Cruz.

IF it is just Cruz versus Jeb Bush, Cruz has much better chance to win. If Romney jumps in, Cruz wins with ease.

Unity is the key to success. Because there are not enough conservative voters in the country to push multiple conservatives over a single RINO. Just observe past results.

I wish you were in charge of the nomination. Unfortunately we have those pesky voters nationwide to contend with.

Hillary is out. She isn't running. The leftists have abandoned her and have embraced Fauxchahontis. All of Warren's recent media pics are photo shopped with smiles, energy, and vibrant colors, while the Hildabeasts are sullen, gray, tired looking, and leave her looking haggard. The fix is in.

Those voters have largely become idiots, just like Obama voters, I mean JEB FREAKIN’ BUSH is polling ahead. Seriously?! Idiot Repube voters are going to send BUSH into battle with cankles. Just from a tactical point of view, ignoring the fact that he’s a communist, it is suicidal.

Say hello to a Shillary presidency if he gets the nomination, and that means at least a 40 year gynococracy full of attacks on men’s rights.

ALL the Bushes are in bed with the Saudis and the Muslim Brotherhood, as are the Clintons and Soetoro.

JFK stole the 1960 election. LBJ murdered JFK and RFK to stay out of prison. The U.S. Government definitively ceased to be legitimate on January 22, 1973, as did all the state governments when they OBEYED Roe v. Wade. ALL governors, even the most “pro-life,” continue to OBEY Roe, Casey, etc. Pick any “pro-life” state, block the doors of an abortion clinic, and see what the “pro-life” governor does. He, and the entire apparatus he commands, will act swiftly to open the doors for the abortionist.

EVERY governor in the U.S. is a murderer. NO governor in the U.S. is a practicing Catholic or Christian.

The Saudis have been tightening their control of the “U.S. Government” since the election of GHWB. Each “president” since has been an operative of the MB and the Saudis—but none more so than Barry Soetoro, an illegal alien shepherded for 20 years on a path to the White House.

If another Bush or Clinton gets in the WH, the dismantling and subjugation of the former “United States” will be completed within a few years.

Conservatives can’t win GOP nomination without uniting behind a single candidate.

Unite behind TED CRUZ.

Well, his statements sound like they come from a guy who is running. He certainly has nothing to lose. His senate seat is not up this cycle.
