Real estate mogul and 'The Apprentice' star Donald Trump isn't running for president yet, but he is sounding more and more like someone who believes there's a path to the White House opening up before him.
'I can tell you there's a very substantial chance I will (run),' Trump told MailOnline in an interview Monday before he spoke at an event hosted by the Economic Club of Washington.
But 'I don't want to put a number on it,' he said, when asked whether the chance of a Trump candidacy was better than 50-50.
He is, however, lining up support in key early primary states and taking pre-emptive swipes at potential rivals, both classic behaviors of the species POTUS seekus.
Next month Trump will appear at three separate events in Iowa, one of the three marquee states whose Republican voters will anoint a front-runner in the 2016 presidential nomination contest....

Cruz is often hailed as a “tea party” favorite, but as far as Savage is concerned, his view on the use of enhanced interrogation techniques makes him unelectable.
He ought to look for a job as a lobbyist.
Why do I say this?
Because Cruz just came out and said definitively that the United States doesn’t support torture, that we’re better than that.
Why would he say a thing like that, which is guaranteed to feed the hatred against our men and women on the front lines?
He’s pandering to the left. Period.
So who will be on the GOP ticket in 2016?
It’ll be one of those young turks who just got elected. Someone you’ve never heard of.
One of them is the dark horse that will come out of nowhere and save the country and the Republican Party.
They’re not part of the Republican machine.
Remember: Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were completely unknown, and they both became president.
He endorsed Kerry in 2004.
