Although we are about 16 months away from having a pretty good rundown on who the likely 5 or 6 candidates will be, would be interesting to see if anyone can look into their crystal ball and foretell the final five or six candidates as we head into the second half of the 2016 primary season. Seven or eight of the possible candidates are pretty much set in stone. The most obvious candidate has to be Ted Cruz. We can all agree that if he runs, he will likely be the one to beat. But who will be the other five candidates in the final clash? Would love to hear some predictions. One of us is likely to get it right, or at least predict Five of the "Final Six".
These are mine.
1) Ted Cruz
2) Ben Carson
3) Allen West
4) Jeb Bush
5) Scott Walker
6) Sarah Palin (just being sarcastic).

They both have their weaknesses and I'm sure I'll hear from other FReepers what they are.
Cruz
Bush
Walker
West, Carson won’t make it to South Carolina.
Palin won’t run.
Pataki might surprise some folks.
There have to be a couple of Governors out there that want to run.
Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Ben Carson and Newt will make another run at it, Callista deserves her White House and the conversion’s going to waste.
Pataki...ha...will he run as a Dem?
Shemp, cartman, wimpy, foghat leghorn, mr. rogers and cookiepuss the whale from carvel
Ted Cruz
Chris Christie
Jeb Bush
Rick Perry
Rand Paul
Paul Ryan
Cruz, Paul, Perry, Unrevealed RINO, Unrevealed Conservative Heartbreaker, Unrevealed Dynasty Darling
1) Cruze
2) Paul
3) Bush
4) Walker
5) Romney
6) Carson
My reduction:
We will not support the GOP 2016 candidate.
Again.
My prediction:
We will not support the GOP 2016 candidate.
Again.
Ryan was an interesting pick.
I don’t think Cruz will run.
what about Sargaent Schultz? I have him at number 8.
Ted Cruz
Don’t care about the other 5.
I know who I want but it’ll be whoever the media chooses for us. Most likely Jeb Bush or Huckabee.
Ted Cruz
Rand Paul
Jeb Bush
Nicki Haley
Ben Carson
Mitt Romney
I want both Scott Walker and Ted Cruz. I will accept Rand Paul and Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan would be good as a cabinet appointee, but I don’t think he has another Presidential Campaign in him, at least not for the next 15 years. I like Bobby Jindal as a conservative, but I don’t get that excited about anything he says. There is something to be said for “Let’s Give Them Something To Talk About!”.
I don’t know of many GOP women who have the background and the credibility to try this. I am open to women in that office as well as men, so long as they are not Common Core RINOs. Whoever the nominee is, they must have thick skin, but know when an insult should be immediately and aggressively answered back. Don’t suffer in silence as Karl Rove convinced W to do. Too many people will accept the undisputed lie as a true statement.
