Sarah Palin appears in Kansas Thursday to stump for Sen. Pat Roberts, the most endangered Republican senator. She could be helpful, but there's irony in her pitch.
Sarah Palin has come to the rescue. The Republicans 2008 vice presidential nominee and big-time political lightning rod took the stage Thursday in Kansas on behalf of the states endangered Republican senator, Pat Roberts.
Three-term Senator Roberts is widely seen as the most vulnerable Republican senator in the November midterms. A loss would seriously harm the Republicans chances of retaking the Senate.
Enter Ms. Palin. The former Alaska governors public favorability has declined since she shot to fame six years ago but no matter. Among all the big-name Republicans rushing to Kansas to save Roberts, she like no other can reach the very voters who need to rally to Robertss side: tea party conservatives....

Certainly doesn’t hurt. I believe she can and will.
I can see the headlines now. If Roberts loses, it will show Palin has
lost her influence. Not true, but that will be part of the story.
“Why is the onus on her, Linda?”
It isn’t...
There couldn’t be a better endorsement for this situation.
the only time pat roberts comes to kansas is when he has a challenger. those are his words, not mine. pat had a fine Conservative running against him in the primary, and he treated him much worse than he ever goes after democrats. pat also sent $ to help cochran in mississippi. don’t know if i can stand the stench to vote for pat this time....pat’s a career politician
Ping.
All part of the script. If Roberts loses, his loss will be the fault of Ks, of Conservatives, the TEA Party, of Cruz and Palin, and of anyone who believes in Liberty, Free Enterprise, and whatever else Liberals can tag as The American Way.
Get ready. Here it comes.
I don’t know if there are any, but did Roberts make any statements about Palin post-2008? That is, did he join the GOPe in trashing her once they realized she wasn’t going to just sit down and shut up? I really hope not.
Well, if anyone can pull Roberts out of this miry clay, it would be Sarah, but, I’m not even sure she can do it. Latest poll this week has him at 38 percent. That is pitiful for a long-time incumbent. And now, this latest revelation that has just surfaced, has really muddied the waters in Kansas. Read about it here:

I love Sarah but she’ll make little difference. Roberts will lose and should.
....dont know if i can stand the stench to vote for pat this time.

It never hurts to stick with your convictions. It just got stinkier in the KS Senate Race yesterday. Documents have been released showing that Roberts and his wife signed legal documents attesting that VA is their principal home of residence.
NEVER FORGET MISSISSIPPI; NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!
Probably not, but when he loses let’s blame her!
Hopefully, the news bit about Roberts being a non-resident will cause him to tank in the polls and about a month before the election he removes himself from the ticket and the KS Republican Party names his challenger to take his place.
That would be sweet justice on many levels.
If your scenario did play out, I don’t think the named replacement would win. #1. He would not have sufficient time to introduce himself to the voters and #2. Pat’s die- hard supporters would prolly be so demoralized, they wouldn’t even vote. Not sure; just sayin’.
If she does pull his chestnuts out of the fire she'll never get credit for it. It'll be blamed on some minor mistake the "independent" candidate made or Bob Dole's great speechifying or some such.
For crying out loud, Roberts is not a senator in Kansas senate.
He is a full time senator in Washington DC based US Senate representing Kansas. Makes lot of sense for him to live where he works. Otherwise he will be spending a fortune and time on air travel every week.
Robert as a senior Senator has influence; not always a bad thing.
Why should the 6th most Conservative Senator lose ?
Better Roberts than a Dem, or one who caucuses with them.
Other Repubs are watching and learning, don’t think they aren’t.
