Jeb Bush is thinking about running for president in 2016. Like, really thinking about it.
He's the headliner at an event hosted by mega donor Sheldon Adelson in Las Vegas on Thursday. He was actively involved in Rep. David Jolly's special election victory in Florida earlier this month. And he is breaking with his party's orthodoxy on Common Core.
So, as Jeb mulls a bid whose advice does he seek? Who does he trust to give him an unvarnished view of what the race might look like? Well, everyone even close to Jeb insists that he largely keeps his own counsel. (People close to politicians love to insist that no, for real, their guy/gal is not one of those people who is poll-tested and consultant approved at all times.) And they note that there is no formal or organized effort to think about the race or prepare for it. Those caveats aside, there are a handful of people who, in conversations with Jebworld (anything can be made a "world" by the way), quite clearly make up his political inner circle at the moment. If Bush decides to run, this group will almost certainly expand and the people we spoke to were quick to note that the Jeb Bush alumni association is vast and supportive....

Jeb will make Romney look like a super star.
Oh and don’t forget his adopted sister in law Hillary LOL.
No candidate who supports Common Core will get my vote.
But wait’ isn’t it Jeb turn? / S
I actually thought Jeb did a good job as Florida Governor...except for the Shavio case...
I do wonder about him running for POTUS as his wife speaks broken English and was born somewhere south of border...
I guess if it’s ok to have a marxist do nothing potus in the office now... the GOPe must think a foreign born first lady is a way to win...
In the fine democrat tradition....how much are you willing to pay for my vote? / S
In the same clinton tradition...a couple of underage hookers and a box of decent cigars would seal the deal. / s
ANYBODY would be a better candidate than an idiot who promotes the Common Core mishmash.
His daughter was a drug addict. She was arrested for trying to get drugs using a fake prescription.
Or, from the Democrats’ perspective, it’s the best possible choice.
Who else could negate the dynasty queasiness and fatigue that Hillary brings to a race?
(And yes, it’s just like the last time, when only Romney could negate the negative of Obamacare.)
For 8 years now, the GOP has forced uninspiring old farts on us.
They always lose and we will lose again if another Bush is forced on us. I refuse to defend or stand up for another Bush anymore.
GOP better understand, we know the worst now and have lived with it. Voting for the person who is a little better than the democrat offering doesn’t work now.
Pretty much no point in my voting anymore, no one to vote for in state except commies, and now we are looking at a pro-amnesty, common core supporter.
No thanks, I’ll sit this one out no matter how much push back I get on this forum.
I’m sick of hearing about the Reagan doctrine, we will never change the way we approach politics if we don’t send a message to our side of the uni-party if we don’t push back.
Might as well let the other side have it all and let it collapse rather than fool ourselves into thinking we are doing the right thing by re-electing the Mitch McConnels and Lindsey Grahams.
I will vote for Hillary twice, one legally and once illegally , before I vote for
another Bush.
If Jeb were to somehow get the nod I will not vote for him even if he is running against Clinton.
The list of people in the Dauphin Bush’s inner circle reeks of GOPe. I’m sitting out if he is the nominee. Both he and the PIAPS are cut from same cloth.
Agreed, I wouldn’t want to be him when Jesus asks him about Terri.
I’m not sitting out but finally I get to vote for a third party that is more in line with my views. And without feeling guilty.
Oh no, not another left of center “Republican”. Please don’t let this be true.
Jeb Bush praised illegal immigrants as risk takers who embody the entrepreneurial spirit. For that comment ALONE, he will NEVER get my vote.
On Fox this morning, Giuliani said Jeb and Christie are the two frontrunners who could get the independent vote, LOL.
Welcome back. Bushies = Shamnesty, no thanks.
