Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney formally accepted the Republican nomination for president Thursday night at the party's convention in Tampa, Florida.
In his speech, Romney criticized President Obama for not leading the country in the right direction the past four years.
He also laid out his five-point plan to create 12 million jobs in the United States.
The entire text of Romney's speech can be found here.

What Did You Think Of Mitt Romney's Acceptance Speech?
It was great
It was good but not great
It was OK
It wasn't very good
It was terrible
Bilateral symmetry!
Wasn’t interested. I’m not voting for Romney anyway and refuse to hear a word from him anymore than I am Obama.
He showed his true colors for us all on Tuesday.
I’m done with supporting anyone in the GOP.
They can pound sand.
That matches my opinion perfectly.
perfect line
All our families can use help. They will benefit when the federal government is not controlled by an ineligible commie crook. That will be a LOT of help for all of us.
I don’t care if you don’t like him but your comments about his looks reminds me of the crap that used to be thrown around about Reagan....dumb cowboy and too pretty. I mean really how shallow are you?
“I wonder, how did his Dad run for President, even though he was born in Mexico?”
He dropped out, before it became a newsworthy topic.
A legal research project was read into the Congressional Records, with the finding/legal opinion that he was NOT eligible.
and what if the hep is to remove government regulations and reduce taxes on small businesses? would you bitch about that kind of help?
Not a Romney fan at all, but he hit it out of the park.
Of course, I did not have high expectations, so it was easy for them to be exceeded.
LOL
I feel the same way you do. I saw it happen at the convention. Couldn’t believe Romney did that.
>>Its nothing new for me. All politicians are creepy to me. Even Reagan.<<
Lie back on the couch, make yourself comfortable, and tell us about your childhood.
>>I had originally decided not to vote at all, but as time went on, I realized that I couldnt do that to my country.<<
Thank you! I hope others will relent and follow your wise example.
And you can go suck something. But please don’t give us any details.
You need to join the 21st century. The days of unattractive presidential nominees are over. As far as Mitt is concerned, I think he looks FABULOUS, considering he’s 65 years old. I prefer to look at a Mitt Romney over a Chris Christie any day.
I agree.
Amen, Ladysmith!
We've had four years of that "nose in the air" crap... Enough already.
Didn’t like the part about replacing ObamaCare. RomneyCare is no better, and he recently stated how proud he is of it.
It was a great speech. Before tonight, I was voting ABO. As of tonight, I’m voting R/R.
Of course, there are plenty of things about Mitt that I don’t like; I don’t want a Romneycare redux for the nation, and there are some other policies I don’t like. HOWEVER, even Ronaldus Magnus had some serious policy stinkers (Amnesty, anyone?), and if I’d been alive enough to vote back then, I’d have voted for him too.
Basically, Mitt showed that he was an American. Maybe an American that has some mistaken ideas, but the difference between Mitt the American and Barry the I-don’t-know-what is the difference between night and day.
(And you just KNOW that liberals will turn that into a racial remark, but I dun care.)
As for Romney’s liberalism? Well, 1: He’ll be the President of the US, not the Governor of a painfully liberal state. He’ll be accountable to US, not to the liberal voters. And 2: Even if everything he said in the speech is a lie, a liberal in his first term is less dangerous than a liberal in his second.
Okay, enough rambling. Bedtime.
