A federal judge this week refused to void the Tennessee Democratic primary for U.S. Senate won by an anti-gay candidate the party has disavowed.
--snip--
The petition contended that the party committed fraud because it could have kept Clayton off the ballot by meeting an April deadline to tell the state he wasn't a bona fide Democrat under the party's by-laws.
The lawsuit also claimed the state's alphabetical arrangement of candidates' names on the ballot creates an unfair advantage for some candidates. The petition noted Clayton's 2008 Senate race, in which he lost to former state Democratic Party chairman Bob Tuke...

So the problem is that he didnt agree with the DNC party platform ???
But they let him run as a Democrat anyway ???
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet. If the judge had nullified the results, he’d have been throwing out the votes and disenfranchising voters. IOW, it would have fit the Demwit agenda of turning the US into a single-party state. Had that happened, the 2012 election polling would have tipped Pubbie practically overnight. But don’t worry about this, one of the numerous Demwit leftist violent wannabee murderers will try to kill this guy on behalf of LGBT “rights”.
Then he’ll get 3 years of probation and a reality show...
The Dems should be happy that they may actually have a winner if they sit down and keep their mouth shut.
I guess if the inmate had won against Obama, they would have tried to take away his right to hold office just because he was locked up.
OH my cry me a river.
Looking better for taking the control of the senate all the time.
What is poor Harry going to do then.
So the lawsuit is also calling Dem voters idiots. Alphabetical order is unfair. Their voters can’t read to find the correct names to vote for?
The DNC - you are free to your own private opinion, so long as it is the same as ours...
Why, how very...open minded of them!
Cheers!
If I lived in Tennessee, he'd have my vote just to tweak the nose of the establishment!
“So the problem is that he didnt agree with the DNC party platform ??? But they let him run as a Democrat anyway ???”
If Republicans made candidates follow the Republican Platform, 90% of our office holders would be looking for a job.
Cheers, sir!
Channel 5 had Mark on their “Inside Politics” program last week. He’s a well-spoken young man and other than a little Ron Paul kookiness on a couple of issues, he seems like a nice enough fella. He said that since he wasn’t able to raise money for his campaign, he went door-to-door to talk to people and explain his views and ask for their votes. He also said most of the people he spoke to agreed with his stances on most issues.
After Mark, they had one of the TN Dem. Party officials on and that guy came across as a raving lunatic. He was furious Mark had won the primary because Mark “doesn’t represent TN Democratic values”. Apparently, he represents the values of 50,000 or so TN democrats because they voted for him! LOL!
This whole thing has been a lot of fun to watch. The idiots in the TN Dem. Party have made the Party a laughing stock. And they may just open the eyes of a lot of dems who long for the old Dem Party - the Party that existed before the Progressives took over.
It’ll be interesting to see how many votes Mark gets in November. I seriously doubt he’ll win the election but the Party may discover they don’t represent the values of most Tennessee democrats. We’ll see what happens.
“I seriously doubt hell win the election but the Party may discover they dont represent the values of most Tennessee democrats.”
I’ve been amazed at how long the Democrat party has been able to keep its base subjected to its radical agendas. Most Democrats I have known as individuals supported their country, their family, their church and worked for a living - often very hard and at very low pay. The whole ‘urban values’ Fauxshevik thing that has metastasized since 1968 seems to be fringe even within that party.
Same here, on both counts. For the life of me, I can't figure it out.
LOL!
How expensive is it to file?
There is no filing fee.
One only needs 25 (twenty five } valid signatures.
