Political analyst Dick Morris said the policies of President Barack Obama will spell his defeat in this year's general election.
The best-selling author and FOX News contributor also predicted key U.S. Senate seats held by Democrats, including that of Bob Casey, D-Scranton, will fall to Republicans.
"We will win a majority back in the U.S. Senate," Morris told area political, community and business leaders at Tuesday's Manufacturer & Business Association Central Division event at the Genetti Hotel.
Morris laid out what he claimed have been mistakes of the Obama Administration, including the president's push for stimulus spending and mounting debt.
He said the increased borrowing and spending under Obama must stop.
Otherwise, banks will continue to refrain from lending money.
"Obama has increased government spending from $3 trillion to $4 trillion," he said.
He blamed Obama for tripling the money supply, which banks have been too afraid to lend out.
Federal regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency have contributed to the anti-business climate under Obama, paralyzing growth, Morris added.
He pointed to the health care industry, which has become stagnant in terms of job growth.
He noted that Casey almost always votes with Obama and easily could lose to Republican challenger Tom Smith.
Morris, who worked to elect Casey's father to state office, said the son does not measure up to Bob Casey Sr.
Bob Casey was a giant," he said. "Bob Casey Jr. has been a rubber stamp to Obama."
Morris said Romney should choose U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as his vice presidential candidate.
Rubio, he explained, could help Romney grab more of the very important Latin vote, including in Rubio's home state.
"I believe he (Romney) will carry Pennsylvania," he said, noting that Republicans are increasingly winning important races in the state.
Morris dismissed polls that show the presidential race to be a close one.
Many of those polls, he said, include only registered voters.
"Obama's years are coming to a rapid close," he said. "This guy is a goner."
Morris, who formerly served as a political strategist for President Bill Clinton, was asked why he chose to flee the Democratic Party.
A self-described "peacenik" who opposed nuclear arms and the defense budget, he recalled as a teenager being frightened during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 when the nation came close to war with the Soviets.
"My big thing was the fear of nuclear war," he said.
During the Clinton Administration he was a proponent of welfare reform.
"We cut welfare in half," he said.
It was, he said, the sort of conservative approach to a problem that worked.
Morris resigned as Clinton's chief campaign adviser in 1996 after a tabloid reported that he had a relationship with a call girl.
He later publicly regretted the experience.

Then again it's Romney, he'll probably screw up the debates and even if he is elected I and many conservatives will be against him from day 1. That might spell trouble in 2016 and beyond.

If the lie works reelected Obama will instantly repudiate the mendacity after the last poll closes and many will have to fall on their swords but when Obama finishes establishing his fascist tyranny they will all be rewarded.
If this is the plan the Obama people are currently buying up all the advertising space on TV for the day of the big lie release and then up to election day.
As a former close Clinton crony he knows how to abandon principles he never had for greener pastures.
I’m always surprised to see GA as a “leaning” state for Romney. Every state office in GA, from the Governor on down, is held by a Republican. The Dem party in GA is in shamble. Romney will win GA.
I don’t recall Morris being particularly accurate in the past, unfortunately.
Romney ads are saying what he’ll do on his first day, including reversing some Obama Executive Orders like Keystone. I just double checked on the EPA, NLRB, and Department of Energy. They were all created by Executive Order. It would be a kick if Romney issued Executive Orders on Jan 20, 2013 to eliminate them (and all their regulations) and set up a “commission to study what should replace them”.
I would not limit myself to just undoing Obama’s Executive Orders, but ALL Executive Orders, with commissions to keep Congress busy “studying” whether the Federal Government has any legitimate role in those areas, and force them to propose and debate new regulations from a clean slate “appropriate to the 21st century and America’s best interest in a Global Economy”. The easiest way to reduce spending is not to reduce budget line items, but to eliminate them completely so there is nobody to argue for a budget amount.
Eliminate Departments and Agencies and consolidate other functions into new smaller agencies with new offices located on the other side of the country like Alaska or Guam, offer Federal employees transfers to the new offices if they want to keep their jobs. Offer pro-rated early retirement to those who decline to transfer.
Propose a new special tax rate on “excessive” public employee retirement benefits. “Excessive” defined as anything more than two or three times the minimum wage.
Make working for the government less desirable.
Cutting the Federal workforce can be done without violating their union contracts. Eliminating regulations can be done by eliminating the agencies that enforced them. You just have to be creative about it.

Dick Morris is a good tactician, but can’t see past his toe-sucked foot. By next week, he could say B. Hussein has an insurmountable lead and will get a veto-proof Congress.
The Novemeber election will decided on six to eight swing states, and I think the amount of campaign funding won’t really matter that much in the swing states. Someone should have sat down in 2010 and explained reality to the White House staff....getting them to prioritize jobs and the economy for the past two years.
As for the results in November....even if Romney wins....there’s big doubt over there being more than 52 Republicans in the Senate, so I don’t see much of anything happening over the next four years...just more of the same stalling behavior.
Place minimal faith in this prediction. Romney still has not indicated that he, as candidate, will really expend the effort and the charm offensive to sufficient degree to lure the “middle”, which is looking for someone with a statement of principles.
It is one thing to do smashmouth campaigning against fellow Republicans, and another altogether to carry the same fight to an incumbent who has been hiding his incompetence behind affirmative action, a vast shield erected by the main stream media, and a set of urbane mannerisms that define him as “clean, articulate, light-skinned and no Negro dialect”, as described by Harry Reid, or the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean”, as described by the famous wit and deep-thinking scholar, Joe Biden. Mitt Romney has already declared several vulnerabilities the Current Occupant has as being out of bounds, choosing instead to “take the high road”.
There are several very useful arguments that would support the case for dismissal of Barack Hussein Obama from office, and the first is a failure to live up to his own promises. He has failed to keep the federal deficit under control, running up annual shortfalls that are greater than the entire Federal budget of only a few years ago. Diplomatic ventures come to nothing, as despotic regimes are removed (as in Libya and Egypt) only to be replaced by regimes even more despotic. Even the situation in Syria has no way remaining that shall end well. Iran remains the 900-pound gorilla in the room, efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan are feeble and ineffectual at best, and Pakistan is an ally only on paper.
The economic situation in regards to China either indicates the Chinese are the biggest suckers in the world, or we are effectively under their hegemony. They have a claim against the wealth and resources of this country that, by now, far exceeds that of any other single entity in the rest of the world. We are effectively almost as much of a vassal state as North Korea, and nobody seems ready to shift the paradigm. It is only that China lacks a blue-water navy of sufficient size to impose their will on US shipping and commerce, that they have not come to foreclose their mortgage on us.
But one of the biggest emotional arguments of all, the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”, popularly known as Obamacare, is for now essentially another of the vulnerabilities that it looks like Romney will not pursue.
Nobody, but nobody, likes Obamacare as of right now. Some of the provisions that have kicked in, like covering adult children until age 26, are frankly, a bid to win the affections of those who are under 26, although that advantage ends as those same adult children age out of the coverage, and have to start paying on their own. And new coverages are MUCH more expensive than older, established coverages, an economic fact that reflects the greatly increased mandates that have been placed on new policies, as compared to existing policies.
One of these mandated policies is that birth control and abortion coverage must be covered. For religious reasons, many insurance providers disagree with this demand, and quietly have dropped all coverage, rather than have to comply. Note that this only applies to Christian and Jewish religions, as the coverages through Islamic organizations are not required to provide the birth control or abortion provisions.
And the provisions will only grow more draconian over time. As employers drop insurance coverage for their employees, they shall have to pay a fine for each of the formerly covered employees, which is less than the cost of providing coverage, a HUGE disincentive for employer-based coverage plans. All these now uninsured employees are themselves mandated to obtain coverage, or face a SECOND demand from the IRS to pay a fine now in their own name. The fine does NOT provide medical coverage, it only flows to government coffers as a new revenue stream to feed current spending elsewhere, and does nothing at all to reduce the current imbalance of government spending and government revenues.
This, of course, leads to all those individuals who have had their employer-based coverage cancelled, to find an alternative, which is to buy into a government-administered health “program”, which in practice, would be a rationing program for delivery of services. Most of the more sophisticated procedures would be placed on a cost-analysis basis, taking into consideration the “quality years” the potential victim, er, patient has remaining, and the answer will be, in most instances, denial of services to alleviate or cure the medical problem. Almost certainly, this leads to early death in many instances, thus the designation of “death panels”, for those boards that rule on the economic impact of providing these services. And the verdict of the board is without any effective appeal, because of the bureaucratic nature of slow action will almost certainy continue longer than any remaining lifetime of the victim, er, patient.
And it seems this whole argument will be out-of-bounds for Mitt Romney, simply because of the perceived similarities between the version put in place in Massachuetts and the Obamacare provisions.

It will not be necessary to invade the United States, only to place sufficient number of economic sanctions upon us.
The Chinese could come in, argue before our own courts, and win judgments by which they could begin mining the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument area of southern Utah for its coal reserves, and expart them directly to China. The same with the known oil reserves under Federal lands, in underwater coastal areas of our East coast, the Gulf, and even off the pristine beaches of Santa Barbara, California.
And we have a Federal judiciary that would fully support them on this.
The Chinese have done their homework well. And they are intent on developing much more sophisticated intelligence efforts than we are now willing to expend.
The Art of War is an ancient Chinese military treatise attributed to Sun Tzu, and one of the provisions is to force the opponent into expending their time, treasure and resources, preferably against a third party, to the point of depletion. Another is to acquire as much intelligence as possible BEFORE a confrontation, and with careful application of this intelligence, force a victory with scarce a shot being fired.

Hardly. Despite Romney not being the first choice, there aren't enough disaffected conservatives who won't vote for the presidential ticket to be offset by liberals and minorities here in Georgia....not nearly enough. Georgia WILL go for Romney even though he is by no means the best candidate. Take it to the bank.
I agree also. The only Democrat strongholds here are in some of the very southern counties and in the metro areas: Atlanta, Macon, et al. There just aren’t enough of them to offset the massive population of the state that won’t have anything to do with Obama.
