Nope, mesothelioma, which is usually associated with asbestos exposure.

No, actually his lung cancer was the kind caused by asbestos exposure. It's rare, and always fatal.

You start dying when you're born.
Smoking may be a risk factor in a disease that kills you. Smoking is not the root cause of death.
Why would anyone that doesn't know me be worried about what kills me?
And your point is?

I guess the Washington Post reported incorrectly.
A lifelong smoker until quitting several years ago, Zevon announced in September 2002 that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and had only months to live. He spent much of that time visiting with his two grown children and working on a final album.

All earthbound living things are hooked which makes it the most addictive substance known.

~sigh.............
Yes, smoking kills. But they never mention all the other ills that accompany a person if he DOES die while he is a smoker. The death of a person is ALWAYS blamed on that person smoking.
How old was this person? Did they have heart problems....were they obese.........did they exercise......did they eat well.........
Just more propaganda to stick it to people who choose a legal product once more.
How about that drunk driver that killed the wife of Jarrett's crew chief and her two young sisters? If he were SMOKING, those girls would still be alive.
I'd much rather pass a smoker on the highway ANY day then a drunk or spaced out driver. Wouldn't you???
This is just more "chit on the smoker" propaganda.

Then this substance should be taxed, regulated and banned from public places.

Another thing:
If it's such a damn killer, did you ever ask yourself why don't they ban it and be done with it?!
Oh! But where would the puke lawmakers get their money, then.............

I guess the Washington Post reported incorrectly.I don't see anything in that little blurb that says the lung cancer was caused by smoking.

I put that in quotes because I wasn't directing it at you.

The other day a truck driver strung out on speed crossed the median and hit a 95 year old man going the opposite direction in a Yugo head on. The Yugo burst into flames and the driver had to be identified by dental records. The foil from a pack of Marlboros was found inside the burned out car. Cause of death, smoking.

No, the Wasshington Post story was correct, but the type of cancer Warren Zevon had was not caused by his smoking-evidently.
I'm not a doctor.
