The hour is near
Time to face a New Year
A toast to good health, family, and FRiends dear
A wish for safety, prosperity, laughter, and love
And, many, many thanks! to those serving our Country
and, to the One above.
*******************************
OK, was that mushy? Was it cheesy? Yes! Heartfelt, too.....
And, speaking of "CHEESE" (after all....this is Free Republic : ))
You are cordially invited to the Canteen's
New Year's
: )
So guys and dollz it's time to boogie!
*******************************
HAPPY 2003!
Come on and party!
Please pick up your new CHEESY name tag for the ball HERE
(To "find" your new cheesy name, use the first letter of your first name for your first cheesy name. Use the first letter of your last name for the first part of your last cheesy name, or, your middle cheesy name, and, use the last letter of your last name for your cheesy last name. [Thanks LindaSOG. I tweaked the formula. : )]
For example: The name Hillary Clinton becomes Hereford Hop Curd Nokkelost.)
Hey, if that's too much, just pick a few cheese names and have fun! : )
*******************************
So, everyone LET'S CHEESE ROLL! LET'S CHEESE DIP! AND, LET'S HAVE A CHEESE BALL! : )

HGTV may be showing the parade comercial-free? Coooool! I'll check to see if it's true. I'll be awake when the repeat airs. LOL! I'll still tape it to be on the safe side. Don't want to miss this!
I get goosebumps thinking about the jets flying over. I don't like the thought of being in a plane but I love it when they scream overhead.....close! The crowd is gonna love it.
The band sounds awesome, too. That's going to be a great opening for the parade.

I'm extremely late in spotting your post but I certainly hope you had a good time at the Canteen this New Years Eve.
Many folks come here to show their support and respect for our troops and veterans, and we have a lot of fun doing it.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!

How cool is that to connect with someone from your own area. I just got one from a guy who grew up just north of Anchorage. I'll write back tomorrow (later today). I hope you survived your "party". Thanks for spending time with our troops today. I think a great time was had by all. American Preservative sure did throw a nice Cheese Ball.

Kid, I loved today's music. Johnny Horton, Patsy, Loretta, and Waylon and Willie (singing the song my cats are named for). And I love Boots Randolph and Yackity Sax. Thanks for finding something for everybody. *HUG*

I just took this picture of Cotton Mather and this is exactly how I feel at this point. LOL!!!
Think I'd better head for the bat cave and soothe the bats rustling in my belfry. Good night, Kathy, and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR PARENTS! God bless ya for your dedication to the troops and to the Canteen.
Good night to all the Canteeners! Thank you all for your daily support of the troops.

Maybe a half hour more will catch me up. Good night, or morning as the case may be, and sleep well. G-d bless you good for your every day support of our military. See you later today. Good night, Cotton.
