May 30, 2002 -- Frustrated cops in New York had to free a suspicious gang of illegal Mideast aliens because the INS "didn't want to be bothered" on the Memorial Day weekend, The Post has learned.

In the end, not knowing whether the men they had nabbed were the hard-working immigrants they claimed to be or a terror gang plotting to wreak havoc, the local authorities had to let them walk.

Deliberately opening the border to an illegal invasion for purposes of undermining the soveriegnty of the United States used to be called treason.

Now they call it 'diversity'.

This is war and we use the rule of law on foreign spies that should be shot.

And the Senate voted to declare war, when...?

Anybody know of one?
Yeah, Gilligan's Island! But you don't have to go to the South Pacific to find the same thing they had there.
Gilligan...The Senate/Courts
Skipper...Presidential administrations
Professor...alphabet soup agencies
Mr./Mrs. Howell...Corporate America
Mary Ann...Red Zone America (wholesome yet naive)

In light of your other post (I just didn't think it was this bad....did you???) maybe you should pull your head out of something too!

I am being condescending now! I was trying to be polite before.

Note how the democrats wants an "investigation" of FBI warnings and what Bush knew and when he knew it. All for purely nonpartisan reasons of course.

YET somehow there is no reason to investigate the most failed institution in the whole government, the INS.

An INS spokesman said yesterday, "Since Sept. 11, our primary focus has been on terrorist-related investigations and, contrary to belief, we are not in the business of detaining people without cause. These men posed no terrorist threat or, for that matter, any threat to the community."

How the hell would they know .. they never bothered to check them out

Fire the SOB in charge!!!!

Thanks for your post.

I know all about Ziglar's libertarian dedication to open borders and his outright refusal to enforce immigration laws. He has flat out said he has no interest in finding and deporting illegals. Mass deportation effort unlikely, INS chief says (For those who don't believe it.) The man is a disgrace. And Bush obviously knew his views when he nominated him, as did congress when they confirmed him. They are equally culpable and complicit in the silent invasion of the US.

However, I find it hard to believe that anyone except an enemy would knowingly let individual suspected terrorists run freely in the country without surveillance! Now you confirm that there is indeed only one phone for the entire NE.

If I assume that INS refused to have anything to do with this, why couldn't the three with phony documentation have been held on the authority of any of the others? For that matter, since they admitted that they were all illegals, why couldn't they have been held on that alone? I understand that only INS can verify whether or not someone entered the country legally, but I don't understand why they would have to be present to make an arrest for use of forged ID or admitted illegal entry. What am I missing?

Does anyone still think that e-mails, letters, phone calls, voting has a snowball's chance in hell of correcting this government? Does anyone think that the founding fathers would have let it get this far?

I do not believe we have anyone left with as much character as those good old white men.

some with phony ID and all admitted illegal immigrants

Apparently then presenting phony ID's is only a felony if an American citizen does it. They have to start getting serious about homeland security. Presenting phony and stolen documents is a felony and should be treated as such ---and illegals doing it is worse than citizens doing it.

At least the Libertarians would not be expanding the food stamp program to include immigrants. Many of these people are coming over just to get in on the freebies, if those were ended, we would see only the few hard-working illegals who aren't as bad of a problem as those filling the housing projects and county hospitals and welfare offices.

I was wondering about this also. Couldn't the police detain them on this charge? Or did they get overruled by the INS?

This is truly outrageous. We need reorganization of all our government agencies.

Remember how they shut down all air traffic until they thought it was safe? Well they ought to do that with immigration now - but it seems there's no will to.

Does anyone have a suggestion of who might be a good person to target with our outrage so that something actually gets done to fix our immigration mess? Is there someone in the administration or Congress who might actually help us get something done?

Sure, except for the terrorists. They're not interested in the freebies.

We need reorganization of all our government agencies.

"We trained hard—but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization"
