May 30, 2002 -- Frustrated cops in New York had to free a suspicious gang of illegal Mideast aliens because the INS "didn't want to be bothered" on the Memorial Day weekend, The Post has learned.

In the end, not knowing whether the men they had nabbed were the hard-working immigrants they claimed to be or a terror gang plotting to wreak havoc, the local authorities had to let them walk.

Un-freakin' believable. Someone, somewhere has got to be fired for this.

Fire a U.S. Government employee? Boy Keith are you nieve. A Government employee can kill his or her supervisor on duty while drunk and high on cocaine and still can't be fired. They simply will be counseled for drug and alcohol abuse.

You are right though someone should be fired. In fact a whole bunch of these ins folk that are just there for a pension should be fired.

The current socialist government masquerading as the U.S. government is in for an extremely rude awakening. I hope Americans appreciate the best government money can buy. Because like the bubble bursting on Wall Street, the bubble is about to burst in Washington, D.C. And when it burst, you better be in the "secret place of the most high". If your depending on this crew to protect you, I have some property in the Mojave desert to sell you.

There is but one statement to address this article:

"I'll meet you at the barricades!"
For this seems all that is remaining to be done. Or can be done. Perhaps it is time...or soon shall be.

The open borders policy is decided in Washington and not New York or Vermont. This administration has signaled that there will be no crackdown on illegal aliens.

"The f- - -ing INS has one phone working Memorial weekend and it's in Vermont?"

I get better service from my local phone company . . . and they suck, Big Time!

Anyone that cares to tell me this isn't being done intentionaly, I'll call a fool to their face. Where are the bushbots? How can this be defended? The order to ignore comes from the top. Blackbird.

Sad, ain't it? It's high time to abolish the INS. Border partol duties should be assigned to the US Army. The State Dep't & a reformed FBI should take over the the other things the INS screws up...

LOL! I think they're laying it on a little thick this time. I don't believe this one. They wanted to let these guys go to follow them, so the INS is taking the heat publically. Good cop/bad cop.

An INS spokesman said yesterday, "Since Sept. 11, our primary focus has been on terrorist-related investigations and, contrary to belief, we are not in the business of detaining people without cause. These men posed no terrorist threat or, for that matter, any threat to the community."

Just for the record, fellas, this is the quote that killed it. Totally unbelievable--nobody's judgement is THAT bad. Your guy should have said something like, "Look, we're doing the best that we can. But we're really stretched thin right now and we've got to prioritize. Your guys may not be legal, but we've got others that look a lot more dangerous right now. Let them go and we'll check it out whenver we can." That would have been believable.

Look at this:

U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin said Monday it is now easier for Mexican immigrants to open bank accounts in the United States, using the so-called consular I.D. issued at Mexican consulates.

Legal Mexicans don't need a consular I.D.

the INS "didn't want to be bothered" on the Memorial Day weekend,
"The agency that handles immigration didn't want to come down"
The INS didn't seem to have anybody on duty in the city.
"The f- - -ing INS has one phone working Memorial weekend and it's in Vermont?"
These men posed no terrorist threat or, for that matter, any threat to the community."
"They had a horrible attitude," one cop said of the INS.

No one with even minimal exposure to the INS would be surprised by this story. It's absolutely par for the course.

For the last couple decades, the INS has been insulated from public exposure due to its clientele of immigrants who don't have the interest or ability to expose the agency's utter incompetence and internal decay. Now, as more and more U.S. citizens (and law enforcement) confront the shocking behavior and attitudes at INS, we'll hopefully see more and more of these stories.

So it's good that law enforcement, the press, and the public are finally becoming educated as to the magnitude of that incompetence and arrogance.

I wonder what the American public will think once it's awakened to the news that the INS has an explicit mandate (continually reinforced in public and in print by Zeiglar himself) to ignore illegal aliens and illegal immigration. I'll bet that comes as a bit of a surprise.

That's one area where there really is no legitimate excuse. Deliberately opening the border to an illegal invasion for purposes of undermining the soveriegnty of the United States used to be called treason.

An unmapped island in the South Pacific is starting to look really good right now.

Anybody know of one?
