Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.
Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?
I, for one, am sick and tired of all of you all intentionally misrepresenting the things that George W. Bush is doing or trying to do.
And the thing that really bothers me about it is that I believe you do it so that you can come on here and act like you and only you know the TRUE meaning of what the Founding Fathers thought and wrote, and you and only you can interpret the Constitution correctly. You can kiss my white Southern butt because you continue to insinuate that I am not as good a citizen as you are because I don't agree with you.
And when you call GWB a two-bit Texan, you only make yourself look petty. He is the president of the United States. (And Pat is not, which is YOUR problem.)
Uncalled for. The correct term is tin horn. But given your state of mind tonight I will let it pass.
And this bill doesn't cover ANY of them.

Why no! Nothing like that could happen to the great "Republic of Texas". We've got the Alamo. Why, our motto is "Don't Mess With Texas". We print it on T-shirts and refridgerator magnets and everything. We are the biggest braggarts and chest beaters in the nation. You don't know what you are talking about. Illegal Mexicans aren't taken over Texas. Texas is conquering Mexico. yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. we will just keep telling ourselves that. That way we won't have our overblown pride hurt. Yeah! Thats it.

If you want a real war keep comparing Texas to california. We don't need lessons from the peoples republic.
The longer we put off explaining to the Republican party that their base is about ready to leave them flat, the worse the down side is going to be when we finally have to do it. I do not see this as a matter of if we do it. Sooner or later it is going to become unavoidable. IMO
Perhaps I'm an ignorant SOB, but that's my take.
I'm afraid it's a little more complicated than that. You know that, right?
P.S. I live in a state where there are plenty of illegals; not California, but a state where there is a large fruit picking business.

Did you see the quote that went something like this:

It was a quote by Thomas Jefferson (I Think) about the Germans in Pennsylvania in 1781 ! I may be off on the date and the exact quote but it is close enough.

This bill is all about permitting illegal aliens ( that's right, they are illegal and therefore criminals ) to join the ranks of American citizenry.
It's a lie.......it's not about granting citizenship; it's about getting green cards.
