Now That Bush Has Sold Us Out... What are we going to do about it? (vanity)
Posted on 03/13/2002 2:47:41 PM PST by Michael2001
Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.
Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

Are you having fun? Your pictures, much like your words, don't even make sense.

I understand your point.....I voted for Mr Bush....But I can't see the point in continuing to vote for people who do not display true patriot qualities......A love for what made America great to begin with.....Separate and apart from other cultures in the world......It is very disturbing to hear foreign lanquages spoken here (Florida) everywhere you go.....And these type of actions from conservatives leave me scratching my head knowing I will never experience the America I grew up in again......

I've sent my last two back with no amnesty ever written on them. Up till now I've pinched my nose and stayed RNC however, this does it for me. I will only support candidates who pass the borders, language, and culture test.

LOL! After reading your post, I told my husband, "I'll bet 4OP doesn't think he/she is a racist!" I'll be damned if I was'nt right! If you're not a racist, who is? You don't want other races in your country and you're NOT one? You want different rules for different races! What, do you have to advocate killing other races to be racist? You shouldn't be afraid of a word. If the shoe fits, wear it!

You're comparing apples to oranges. Reagan was president roughly two decades ago. He was operating in a very different historical context Let's see if you have any "historical context". What drove Reagan to push for his amnesty?
To: Joe Hadenuf
Change your name to class clown. Your photographs are not a very good diversion. they don't even make sense. It's how he argues every topic.

What did I get for my vote? You will have to list a bigger litany of woes than that to make me feel that Gore would have been the better President.
I would put up with almost anything to not have to see that psycho signing bills in the Rose Garden with his menagerie.

Anyone care to lay odds on which candidate carries the hispanic vote in the next election, Bush or the democrat? Bush does not need to carry them all, or even a majority. He's already stolen so many blacks from the Dems that there's no way they can beat him. All that matters is that he gets more of this Hispanic vote than last time ... start the trend, and work with it. Just as he's doing with the black vote.
To: Rome2000
This sucks, but it is better than losing the latin vote by a 10 to 1 margin like we do with the blacks.
The GOP will lose hispanics 10 to 1 anyway -- along with enough of their base to ensure democratic presidents from now till there's nothing left of the US but rubble.
You have some counter-evidence proving the GOP won't lose hispanics as a result of giving amnesty to illegals?
I didn't think so.

Reagan gave amnesty to over 1 million "illegal" Mexicans
Reagan doubled the size of the federal Gov't in his 8 years.
Reagan snubber the military and didn't give any pay raise one year.
Reagan expanded welfare when he peomised to cut it
Reagan said we spend $4000 on welfare admin for each person but he increased this to $7000My my my. Sounds like SOMEONE'S never heard of a little something called "Congress."
To: Joe Hadenuf
Damn it. Its not called amnesty. Its 245i ! Did you read the bill? BTW, the Reagan amnesty was a real blanket amnesty, it covered EVERY illegal alien in the country with NO questions asked.
To: Blade
Bump. Against my better judgment, I voted for GWB myself. What a waste. The funny thing about this is that people are acting like this isn't going to happen if Bush just says no to illegal mexicans.
It will happen in the next Rat administration for sure, and then there will certainly will not be a reason to vote for the GOP.
To: He'sComingBack!
I am no longer a Republican but will file Independent. If you file as an Independent, you will have even less choice, as you won't be able to vote against RINO's in primaries. Good job!

The solution is to vote for who best represents your beliefs, and let the chips fall where they may.
To: Texasforever
Yes I did read it. Why, is there somthing you like about it? Do you support it? And why?
