CNN MEMO WARNS STAFF ON REPORTING JESSE JACKSON SCANDAL BOOK
**Exclusive**
A CNN internal memo warns staffers to hold off reporting on a new book which presents a damning portrait of former CNN host and civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The CNN memo obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, penned from the network's Chicago bureau, points out how the author of SHAKEDOWN: THE LIFE OF THE REVEREND JESSE JACKSON -- may not be trustworthy!
"Kenneth Timmerman is a long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes," the CNN memo notes.
"He is recently a failed political candidate [ran for US Senate in Maryland] whose own bio points out he studied creative writing at Brown."
SHAKEDOWN hits stores this week; it quickly raced to the top of the AMAZON hit sales parade.
REGNERY PUBLISHING set a first run of 150,000 copies, a record for the house.
If these are the types of things circling around CNN news desks, we don't have to wonder why CNN cannot be trustworthy or fair about reporting anything. Period!
The elitist pigs in the media rely on their "useful idiots" at election timeThe useful idiot supply is dwindling. The REAL game now is illegal voters and massive vote fraud in urban areas. If that was cracked down on, it would be more devastating than nuking DNC HQ. It would be Game Over.
You'll be happy to know that Bill Press has been demoted by CNN. Starting April 1, Press will be replaced on "Crossfire" by Paul "Sits Down To Pee" Begala and James "Serpenthead" Carville (they'll alternate co-hosting), and Press will be reduced to just being a general "political contributor" on other CNN shows.

You are not alone, my long-suffering friend. I first became aware of Press as a national socialist bully when he had a radio show here in LA. His preferred technique was to talk over conservative callers and goad them into hanging up. If that didn't work, and the caller was making a cogent, articulate argument against the prevailing orthodoxy, Press would instantly cut him or her off, then slur the now-silent caller as a right wing nut.
Adding to the gall, Press is not terribly bright, and can't answer reason with reason. His show didn't last long. He was in fact everything the left unjustly accuses Rush Limbaugh of being - partisan, meanspirited, intolerant and dumb.

I first coined that phrase.
Cute.
In the first place, employers have the right to restrict what their employees publish. That should go without saying. The First Amendment has nothing to do with it.
Secondly, Drudge hasn't posted the whole memo as yet. It makes no sense to judge the memo on the basis of a couple of quotes, possibly taken out of context. He doesn't yet quote anything in the memo which warns employees to "hold off" reporting on the book.
My suggestion: reserve judgment 'til you've seen the facts.
The Left must really feel threatened by this expose'.

OK.

So much for the 1st Amendment and Free Speech at CNN. How about reporting with 'disclaimers' about not necessarily representing the views of management, just to get some reporting?
We as news and information consumers also have the right to question the "objectivity" and "sincerity" of news organizations like CNN. This news outlet is NOT as fair and balanced as some would like us to believe. Progressive viewpoints ARE NOT neutral.
Regards....
I think Jeff Flock runs that operation...maybe he got politely asked by Jackson friends, not to tout this book. One of the exposes in the book is how black Barbara Reynolds got threatened when she tried to write about Jackson's corruption.
But it's a benefit to have this memo coming out of Chicago. CNN Hqs can deny they knew anything about it, just like Walter Issackson did about the sexy Paula (with zipper sound effects) Zahn promo.
I agree, this memo exposes CNN's bias. Not just the intent to protect Jackson, but the way they labeled Timmerman a conservative.
"Long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes, Kenneth Timmerman has written these other books:
Selling Out America
Death Lobby: How The West Armed Iraq
Poison Gas Connection : Western Suppliers of Unconventional Weapons and Technologies to Iraq and Iran
And CNN's problem with all of them is that Zimmerman has written about foreign policy and national security failures that occured during the Clinton Administration.
