CNN MEMO WARNS STAFF ON REPORTING JESSE JACKSON SCANDAL BOOK
**Exclusive**
A CNN internal memo warns staffers to hold off reporting on a new book which presents a damning portrait of former CNN host and civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The CNN memo obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, penned from the network's Chicago bureau, points out how the author of SHAKEDOWN: THE LIFE OF THE REVEREND JESSE JACKSON -- may not be trustworthy!
"Kenneth Timmerman is a long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes," the CNN memo notes.
"He is recently a failed political candidate [ran for US Senate in Maryland] whose own bio points out he studied creative writing at Brown."
SHAKEDOWN hits stores this week; it quickly raced to the top of the AMAZON hit sales parade.
REGNERY PUBLISHING set a first run of 150,000 copies, a record for the house.
If these are the types of things circling around CNN news desks, we don't have to wonder why CNN cannot be trustworthy or fair about reporting anything. Period!

I just got mine in the mail today! I was just flipping through some of the pages. It should make my upcoming 5 hour plane trip go by real fast.

It's funny how they have to accuse someone of being a conservative in order to disqualify his remarks. What the heck does being a liberal or conservative have to do with the underlying charges against Jackson? The guy is a race-baiting hustler who belongs in jail. I hope there are RICO charges brought against him. CNN would probably have better ratings if they advertised themselves as the "Politically Liberal Spin Network".

If Jesse were ever prosecuted----he'd put on a defense that would make Klinton's pale in comparison.

Their job is to report the news and let the public decide.

If Jesse was in the mob, he'd be facing RICO charges.. Only about 30% of RICO cases are against traditional mob type organizations. It is not the nature of the organization that determines whether or not RICO applies, it is the acts of those individuals who control and run those organizations. Even judges and politicians have been convicted under RICO. Organizations do not commit crimes; individuals do, although an organization can be held liable for the damages of the RICO predicate acts.

Creative writing? Isn't that what Departments of Journalism are called these days?

That prohibition on Congress's abridging free expression has now been extended to the States by the 14th amendment. Before then the States could and did prohibit free speech, close newspapers, etc. Try running an anti-Slavery newpaper in Charleston in 1855 and see how long it would be before it was burned out.
However, the extension of the prohibitions to the States does not mean that it applies to CNN or Fox and they have every right to exclude subjects from air time or discussion. Just as we have every right to tune them out.

Most people, even most Freepers, don't realize the extent to which the ABCNBCCBSCNN bloc of news organizations are run by real live Marxist True Believers. These are the people who did not give up their Marxism asfter college. The are NOT on our side. They are NOT for the nation under a constitutional government. They are NOT about you keeping what you own and earn. They do NOT think your family is your own, least of all your kids. You CANNOT overestimate the evil of these people.

The media will probably try to squash this book like they did John Ross's, "Unintended Consequences." That didn't work - maybe this won't either.

Kenneth Timmerman is a long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes. He is recently a failed political candidate [ran for US Senate in Maryland] whose own bio points out he studied creative writing at Brown." the CNN memo notes.J'accuse Timmerman. Here is the inditement:
1) He is a long time writer;
2) He is a long time investigator;
3) He 'touts' conservative causes;
4) He recently ran for the U.S. Senate;
5) He lost the election;
6) He studied creative writing;
7) He did it at an Ivy League University;
8) The University was Brown.
Other than #3, all of the other charges look like reasons to cover this book, so CNN's objections actually boil down to: Timmerman is a conservative. This is the modern academic dogma, there is no such thing as truth, only the question as to who holds power. Well the people have decided, the power will not be in CNN's hands much longer.

I've always said that CNN stands for Communist News Network. Seems fitting for them. Mr. Bird, bravo on your post. As someone else said, you mean to tell me that people still watch that crap? Recently, I tried to watch it just to see what was new with it. All I can say is, Fox took advantage of the weaknesses of CNN. Finally, a news network that reports what the people want to hear and what is the truth.

"Kenneth Timmerman is a long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes," the CNN memo notes. Well that clinches it for me. He is a conservative, therefore is a liar and beyond able to tell the truth. Simply put, we conservative are liars. That is finally clear from none other than the Communist News Network and Klinton ass kissing network, CNN.

Try running an anti-Slavery newpaper in Charleston in 1855 and see how long it would be before it was burned out. My very remote Uncle, Isaac Knapp, published The Abolitionist and was burned out twice - in Boston!

I'm assuming CNN's crack about Timmerman's creative writing studies is a feeble attempt at humor: "see, the guy is a trained fiction writer, so he probably invented the stuff about Jackson." Ha-ha. Amazing that such a lame jab would actually find it's way into an "official" CNN memo.

What do you mean IF? He basically is, but since he's black and wears a tie and calls himself reverend he gets a free pass.
