CNN MEMO WARNS STAFF ON REPORTING JESSE JACKSON SCANDAL BOOK
**Exclusive**
A CNN internal memo warns staffers to hold off reporting on a new book which presents a damning portrait of former CNN host and civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The CNN memo obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, penned from the network's Chicago bureau, points out how the author of SHAKEDOWN: THE LIFE OF THE REVEREND JESSE JACKSON -- may not be trustworthy!
"Kenneth Timmerman is a long time writer and investigator touting conservative causes," the CNN memo notes.
"He is recently a failed political candidate [ran for US Senate in Maryland] whose own bio points out he studied creative writing at Brown."
SHAKEDOWN hits stores this week; it quickly raced to the top of the AMAZON hit sales parade.
REGNERY PUBLISHING set a first run of 150,000 copies, a record for the house.
If these are the types of things circling around CNN news desks, we don't have to wonder why CNN cannot be trustworthy or fair about reporting anything. Period!

"He is recently a failed political candidate [ran for US Senate in Maryland] whose own bio points out he studied creative writing at Brown." I'm going to go WAY way out on a limb here and venture to guess that almost every author in the world took at least one creative writing class in college.
"Why, he even studied creative writing in high school! So he's been preparing to lie for a LONG TIME!"

No, Brown is way liberal. I think they're concerned because he went to Brown and for some reason the liberalism didn't "take".

If this were the Southern Hemisphere, would CNN be spiraling down counterclockwise?
To: Attillathehon
Is studying Creative Writing a crime? However did Jesse Jackson become such an accomplished liar WITHOUT ever having studied Creative Writing?
To: Attillathehon
Hahah,,,studying creative writing at Brown ought to make you a card carrying liberal. Brown is one of the most liberal places around. Maybe he is a double agent. This is laughable. But I think people are terrified of the Reverand.

There's no media bias!
THIS GUY says so!

I seem to recall CNN warning its Staff in the same way when Al Franken came out with "Rushh Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot." Anybody else remember this?

There is no such thing as "First Amendment Rights." The First Amendment does not grant ANY rights to ANYBODY. The First Amendment lists a number of things CONGRESS is prohibited from doing. But NOBODY's rights come from the First Amendment. Rights come from God.

True, but Jesse studied Creative Lying under the auspices of the Schlickmaster himself. Got extra credit for that.

>Is studying Creative Writing a crime? Or is it the fact that he studied at Brown that casts doubt upon his veracity?Yikes. I studied creative writing at Ball State. CNN would tear me apart...

We should expect this from CNN. The good news is: I believe that for the large number of people out there that this book will spur to critical thinking, they will learn about it from sources other than CNN. Then hopefully, they will continue to pursue those other sources to the detriment of CNN. CNN will continue to lose ratings and influence. The act of supressing the news will backfire for CNN.

I just got an e-mail saying Amazon had mailed my copy. Maybe I need to buy another.

I wonder if we will see President Bush walking to the helicopter with a copy of "Shakedown" discreetly visible under his arm? Oh, that would be sweet. But alas, probably not to be...
