CAUSE OF GIRL'S DEATH COULD REMAIN MYSTERY
Police say they may never know how Danielle van Dam died, or when. The seven-year-old girl disappeared from her San Diego home February first. Authorities are now confirming that a child's body found by volunteer searchers Wednesday is that of the missing child. The district attorney says an autopsy performed confirmed her identity yesterday. The identification was made through dental records because of the condition of the body. Medical examiners are trying to determine the cause of death, but Police Chief Dave Bejerano says it's possible that we'll never know how, or when she was killed. A neighbor has been charged with kidnapping and murdering her. Authorities say they found the girl's blood on his clothing and in his motor home. He has pleaded innocent.

Yup! They call it a chump charge in the language of perpdom!
To: gorio
I agree there should be a death penalty in this case, but we had be darned sure we've got the right person. For now, there are just too many possible doubts.
Ditto to this and your whole post.
I know what you mean about framing. It's not police framing; it's perp and unsuspecting-flawed-person framing.
To: angcat
Sorry about that! My confusion results from...........confusion.............I guess........maybe..............:-)

I thought I had read or heard somewhere that it was leftover pizza from the bar.

I don't know how you can "firmly believe" that someone was "framed" at this point. That makes no sense.

Watching Southpark! It's the one about the gay dog! LOL!
To: Greg Weston
That makes no sense. What is it you can't understand? All evidence that we know of at this point "could" have been deliberately placed.
The accused was conveniently preoccupied with the victim's mother and the "preoccupation" was planned earlier in the week. Do I need to go on? Can you comprehend how the game works?
Better yet, why don't you tell us what facts absolutely rule out a frame-up?

I've missed so much today. What is "smoker" and a fund? This just get curiouser and curiouser...

Cops are ALWAYS RIGHT! The first arrest ALWAYS STICKS! Killers NEVER try to setup someone else. The cops would find out about it! (sarcasm off)
To: wirestripper

"What is it you can't understand??
That someone can "FIRMLY BELIEVE" that it is a frame up at this point.
Do you "firmly believe" it was a frame up as well?

I believe the mothers' grief is real but the father looks like a whole other story!!!ya know..there are a lot of strange looking people in this world...and some look wild eyed and crazy haired..like einstein..they might look so bad that you just want to turn around and run. They could be one the nicest people you ever met. That pic of him crying looked as real as the father of a victim of our local jeffrey dahmer..aka Bob Berdella during a court hearing. Bob berdella was convicted of killing and eating young men.

I just remembered something else peculiar. I have not once seen either parent express rage at Westerfield. Wouldn't you think that when they were in the courtroom at DW's arraignment they would show some kind of anger. Or if not there, wouldn't they do it in one of their many public appearances?
It seems like they would be very fixed on the monster that killed their daughter. I've seen on anger at all.
To: gorio
This is so true. Not only regarding the tragedy of convicting innocent people, but if an innocent is convicted, then that means the real perpetrator walks free to assault and kill again. I think that's why we owe it not only to the victims but to ourselves.
To: Greg Weston
Do you "firmly believe" it was a frame up as well? No. I'm simply open to the possibility.
To: angcat
It was, but for a different child killer.
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
Good catch.
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
Not if you've been warned that such outbursts will get you banned from the proceedings forever.
